Critically Important

In this episode, Jason, Mallory and Espo talk about movies that gave them a visceral reaction; how this year's fall movie festival season has not disappointed us in the slightest; and we finally dive into some of Espo's movie ratings and interrogate him on ones that we find just a little suspect.

For this episode, Jason and Espo are joined by Ty Doyle of The Bucket Up Podcast! In addition to discussing the latest movie trailers, they pay tribute to Robin Williams on the 5th anniversary of his death, "draft" movie teams, and question some of Magic Johnson's movie preferences.

In this episode of the Critically Important podcast, Jason, Mallory and Espo decide to share their own personal hot takes, discuss movies that they love despite their (sometimes painfully obvious) flaws, and try to convince Jason that it's OK to give movies five stars.

In the first non-pilot episode of the Critically Important podcast, Jason, Mallory and Espo debate whether listener hot takes truly are hot (and Jason experiences difficulty with audio effects); predict which summer blockbusters are going to be fresh and which will be rotten; and Jason and Espo question Mallory's five star rating of The Room during her interrogation. And if polarizing Matthew Mcconaughey movies are the content you crave, Jason and Espo get into a heated debate over the merits of The Beach Bum.

The inaugural episode of the Critically Important podcast! Listen to our pilot edition where the crew of Jason, Mallory and Espo discuss which movie trailers have raised their expectations (spoiler: not the one featuring a creature that doesn't skip leg day), insult Jason for his love of Les Misérables ("the *checks notes* Academy Award-winning version" - Jason), and rank their top superhero film performances of all-time.
