Critics w/o Credentials

In the next to last episode, Devin decides to go rogue and chooses a film NOT ON THE LIST as she was not satisfied with any of the preselected Christmas movies. Nevertheless, the duo has a great time talking about their fun (and strange) selections. One of which is still messing with Chris days after his watch.

Devin’s Choice: Love Hard

Chris’ Choice: Christmas Evil

With the last CwoC podcast episode of 2022, Chris and Kevin discuss Avatar: The Way of Water, some last-minute 2022 watches before the year is over, and most importantly, some Christmas movies to get us in the spirit before we look ahead to 2023!

They can’t all be winners, but they can still be fun!

Chris and Devin dig into their childhood to find a video game movie adaptation and see if it lives up to the hype. Sadly, from the list, they were given this wasn’t possible and so they were left to choose lesser celebrated titles.

Chris’ Choice: Wing Commander (1999)

Devin’s Choice: Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

Devin and Chris dive right into a category that both had fun with, albeit, for very different reasons.

Devin’s Choice: Sisters (1972)

Chris’ Choice: Twin Dragons (1992)

With a strange category this late in the year, Devin and Chris decide to do their best with the list that has been given to them. Devin takes a clever shortcut for her ”movie” and Chris jumps back into spooky season with his selection.

Devin’s Choice: A Charlie Brown Christmas

Chris’ Choice: The Devil Inside

Chris and Devin try their best with this week’s challenge and surprisingly it leads to very fun results.

Chris’ Choice: The 39 Steps

Devin’s Choice: Plains, Trains, and Automobiles

Devin and Chris come back to the slumber party to discuss the Christmas feature debut for the Olsen Twins - To Grandmother’s House We Go - and more importantly, focus on how all of the adults shown in this movie are irredeemable.

Kevin and Chris are back together to talk about how much they enjoyed Violent Night and hope they move forward with a sequel (or prequel). The duo also comes at the most recent adaptation of Pinocchio, this time by Guillermo Del Toro, from very different experiences. Chris talks about his most recent stand-up watch and Kev dives into a solid week of the 52-week movie challenge.

Both Devin and Chris chose films that were celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.

Devin’s Choice: Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion

Chris’ Choice: Kiss the Girls

Chris and Kevin come together for a great lengthy episode discussing Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, The Fabelmans, Guardians of the Galaxy: Xmas Special, Strange World, Devotion, Bones and All, and much more!
