Pricing is often a crocheter's biggest problem. We feel guilty for charging what we're worth but frustrated that we don't charge more because we feel like everyone's chasing a bargain.
At a craft fair this gets worse because we come face to face with our customers.
So how do you stop the guilt of charging a fair price from making you drop your prices at the first challenge?
This podcast talks through how to stand your ground and some tips on what to say or do when a customer tries to haggle.

Is it possible to grow a crochet business without social media? Well, that's what I'm doing for my crochet pattern business. I'm leaving social media behind and instead building something different that will work more effectively and for the long term - SEO
I originally built my entire crochet business on Facebook, but when my marriage broke down I just couldn't be present and I ended up walking away from it all or 2 years. In that 2 years A LOT changed and I've realised that I just can't make social media work for me anymore - I just don't have the social energy. So instead I'm building back up using Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) which is a much more reliable, if slower way of growing your crochet business.

When we're doing everything possible to turn our crochet into a career we can get our heads so buried in doing all the things that we're told we need to do that we forget to look at how well it's actually working.
This is especially true if you're making regular sales and you feel like you're always busy. But how much profit are you really making? Because that $20 profit you made on that bag sale sounds really good until you break it down.

Selling your crochet as a side hustle and selling it as a business are two completely different things.
One works, the other doesn't. And often if you started selling your crochet just to make a bit of extra cash and then decided to make a living from it, this difference can be blindsiding.
Listen to the episode now and I'll walk through why it can be so difficult to go from side hustle to business when it comes to selling your crochet.

Taking your crochet business in a new direction can have knock on effects you never considered.
One that you'll feel the most is outgrowing all the connections you've made with other crafters who are also selling what they make.
It's not that they don't support your new direction, its that you're just not facing the same challenges that they are anymore. Increasingly you won't feel part of the conversation anymore which leaves you in a lonely place.
