After the closure of Willowbrook State School on Staten Island, rumours swirled, about the people who had been left behind, one in particular stood out, sometimes, he wielded a bloody axe, sometimes he had a hand for a hook, but no matter what version of him you had heard, his M.O was always the same- to pluck children off of the street and take them back to his dwelling.
All of this seemed like lore, used to scare kids and teenagers away from staying out too late at night, that was until children, and people with cognitive disabilities started to go missing.
Main source used for this case was the 2009 documentary Cropsey.
