Jesus Comforts His Disciples and Promises the Holy Spirit (Part 1)

In this week's lesson, we will learn that Jesus is still in a discussion with His disciples. He is telling them that He will leave them but will ask His Heavenly Father to leave them an advocate , the Holy Spirit. This is the first time that Jesus teaches on the Holy Spirit. However, we will once again see that the disciples don't understand what Jesus is telling them.

John 14:15-23

Jesus is the way to the Father

In this week's lesson, we will learn that Jesus is talking to His disciples. He is telling them that He is the only way to the Father. However, we will see that the disciples are confused about what Jesus is telling them, which tells us that they didn't understand or know who He truly is, the Son of God, the Messiah, that the Prophets spoke about in the Old Testament.

This week's lesson shows that Judas Iscariot leaves the Last Supper to betray Jesus. We also will learn that Jesus warns Peter that he will deny Him three times, and then the rooster will crow.

We learn that although the religious leaders witnessed the miracles that Jesus did, they still didn't believe that He was the Messiah. However, some did but were afraid to admit it publicly because of the Pharisees. We will also learn about the mighty hand of God and the outstretched Arm of God.

In this week's lesson, we learn that Jesus predicts His death. However, before He does this, He tells us that those who live for Him must serve and follow Him because His Father will honor them.

Jesus comes into Jerusalem as King

In this week's lesson, we will learn that many people believed Jesus was the Messiah. They will show this by waving Palm branches in the air and calling, " Hosanna, King of Israel." In addition, we will learn that Jesus comes into the city riding on a donkey, just like the Prophet Zechariah predicted. Finally, Jesus tells everyone that the hour has come for glorifying the Son of Man.

Jesus Anointed at Bethany

In this week's lesson, we will learn that Mary pours expensive perfume on Jesus' feet because she has insight that Jesus is going to be put to death. She knows that He is the Messiah. However, we will also learn that Judas Iscariot, who would later betray Jesus, objected to this.

John 11:28-44

Jesus Raises Lazarus from the Dead

In this week's lesson, we will see the great miracle done by Jesus. Because of His Resurrection power, Jesus will raise Lazarus from the grave.
