Cross Ice Pass

Talking with this kid dynamo was so awesome. Zechariah Thomas is a 21-year-old business owner of Swift Hockey and he thought about starting this when he was 17. He's a young entrepreneur who is just getting started and helping to make hockey sticks more affordable for players and parents. Check out my talk with him at 00:36:30.

Episode seventeen's guest is the son of the Golden Jet Bobby Hull and brother to Brett Hull, Bart Hull. The Tin Foil Jet has had a career as a college and pro football player and has so many stories living in the House of Hull. It was such a great conversation with such a humble person who has so many great hockey stories throughout his life.

The intro is some catch-up from all that has happened already in the hockeyverse in 2024.

Since the PWHL is starting next week I wanted to chat with a coach that can give me some insight to pro women's hockey. Coach Ivo Mocek has been coaching at the pro women's level for several years and it was interesting to hear how the leagues started and have grown worldwide. It was also interesting to hear about his life growing up in the Czech Republic and how hockey was for him there.

This weeks intro has some World Juniors, some NHL, and of course other pieces happening even though a lot of the hockey world was on holiday.

Today's chat is with Coach Carlos Rossell, the Spanish-speaking color analyst for ESPN hockey coverage. He also spends a ton of time at the rink coaching youth hockey. We chat about the reach of hockey in Spanish-speaking countries and North America.

In the intro, we discuss the Wings and other things happening in the Hockeyverse.

This week's walk through hockey was an active one and I try to touch as many bases as I can for you all. Leading up to Turkey Day gave me some time to focus on my approach this week so I can offer more thoughts from the hockeyverse.
