Cross Ice Pass

In this episode, we have two board members and hockey players from the New York City Gay Hockey Association. Pietro Scarsone and Steven Greenberg talk with me about the importance of their program and all it does off the ice. The purpose of chatting with this association is because I see them do so much at the rink and off and I wanted to discuss the new issues happening with the NHL's removal of the warm-up jersey for initiatives outside of the NHL.

In this episode, we have Canadian National Speed Skater and TRUE Temper Sports as their Senior Manager - Hockey Skate Division, Tyler Derraugh. My purpose in connecting with Tyler is this recent evolution in hockey skate technology, based on what has been done in speed skating and True is the leader in that. Why talk about his life from hockey to speed skating and back to both in a way currently

This episode's intro focus is the happenings in the first week of the 23-24 NHL season as well as this issue with Pride Tape and how the league took something so easily inclusive away from players and fans.

In this episode, we chat with world-famous contemporary artist and Weimaraner photographer William Wegman. Bill grew up in Massachusetts and played hockey in his youth and gave it up for a storied art career. By chance, I coached his son about 20 years ago and encouraged him to put the skates and equipment back on at 59. Bill will be 80 in December, and he hasn't given up a stride. It is a truly remarkable story about rekindling a passion later in your life.

In this episode, we chat with Enforcer and 2023 Ice Wars king Ryan Devine. He is a Philly area native and has played pro hockey for over a decade.  His perspectives on fighting and understanding the unwritten fighter code were interesting. As was his experience with the new growing sport of Ice Wars.

I start with some exciting things happening in the NHL preseason. As well as some crazy issues with contracts.
