In situations that demand courage, we often wish God would choose someone else because we don't think we've got it in us. But what if all God wanted us to know is that he's at work behind the scenes?

"Love never fails" (1 Cor. 13:8). If love really is an unfailing force, then why wouldn't we choose it in every situation? It leaves a powerful legacy that points others toward God's love for us.

In a culture that values endless options, the decision to stay at someone's side when better options present themselves is a deep form of love.

When facing a broken relationship, things quickly feel hopeless when we're resting on our own power. Love chooses hope because it rests and relies on power beyond itself.

Our "cancel culture" chooses to abandon relationships at the first opportunity, when things get rocky. People marked by love choose to believe the best, even when what we are experiencing currently feels like the worst.

Truth is important to love because Jesus announces there is no freedom without truth. When followers of Jesus celebrate and live out truth, they can be a part of setting people free.

In a world that doesn't share the values of Jesus, it's easy for us to become tolerant of sin. But sin always has a "gotcha" attached. When we love people enough to tell them the truth, we prevent the consequences of sin from getting them.

We are quick to remember wrongs, and slow to focus on what people do right. Love chooses to give others the benefit of the doubt instead of looking for reasons to write people off.

We are frequently presented with opportunities where someone did us wrong and we have an opportunity to strike back. Love insists on mercy instead of judgment.

You love you some you. But Jesus says that the way to life and love happens when we adopt a new framework to look at our world.
