Freedom runs deep in the human soul because God made us for it. It’s part of being made in His image. We can’t understand the value of freedom until we know what it feels like to live in the absence of it. Freedom isn’t free.

Mark was acting as a scribe or writer to an eyewitness - Simon Peter.  It was probably written while Peter was in prison in Rome. The book of Mark reads the way Peter viewed Jesus. The stories he recounts concentrate on miracle-working, primarily healing.
