Just a few days ago, 3,500 fans converged from all over the world to attend the first ever Chosen Con, a one day celebration of all things from the hit streaming series, ‘The Chosen’.
Beyond the opportunity to mingle with their favorite cast members, fans of the show were the first to hear about plans for the quickly approaching Season 4.
Here is what you need to know:
For the first time ever, the full season will be released exclusively in theaters, distributed by Fathom Events, in February 2024. Last season, fans of the show were able to see the premiere and final episode of The Chosen in theaters.
Season 4 promises clashing kingdoms, rival rulers, all while the enemies of Jesus close in while His followers struggle to keep up, leaving him to carry the burden alone.
One of Jesus’s more popular enemies during the first three seasons returns for Season 4 and is my special guest on today’s podcast. As the fierce Roman guard known as Quintus, actor Brandon Potter embodies the spirit of how many people felt about Jesus during that troubled time in our history.
Potter joins us on the Crossmap Podcast to talk about whether he prefers playing a bad guy over a good guy. Listen as he shares what he has learned about Jesus that he never knew before doing this show.

‘Miracle' is a term that sadly gets thrown around in trivial ways that ultimately dilutes the deep manifestations of the word.
How many times have you been watching a sporting event where you hear a play-by-play announcer innocuously say, “Well, this team really needs a miracle right now if they want to have any chance of winning."
It seems like an appropriate thing to say until you realize that this is Game 87 of a 162 game schedule. This is likely the seventh or eighth time he has uttered the phrase already during the season and there is a high probability he or she will use it a few more times in the 75 games that remain on the schedule.
Now, consider the miracles that are found in the Bible. In the tried and true pages of the New Testament, we find that Jesus can take the ordinary and turn it into something extraordinary. Turning water into wine, feeding 5,000 people with only five loaves of bread and two fish, and resurrecting someone from the dead are miracles in the truest sense of the word.
Rabbi Jason Sobel believes that God wants to bless you abundantly so you, in turn, can bless others and sow into His kingdom.
In his latest book, “Signs and Secrets of the Messiah,” Rabbi Sobel dives deep into Scripture, Biblical culture, and ancient texts to help readers better understand the truths, and the power behind God’s miracles, and to increase their faith that Jesus can perform miracles in their life, even today.
Rabbi Sobel joins us on the Crossmap Podcast to talk about why it is so important to dive into the ancient texts to better understand the truth and power behind God’s miracles. Listen as he shares evidence that God wants to bless us abundantly.

Hope is something we all say we have but in practice there doesn’t always seem to be evidence to support that.
We say we have hope for the future, that everything will work out in our favor. But how many times have things not worked out the way we wanted? Do we turn our backs on the one we rely on for all good things? Of course not. As long as there is a God above there is always hope even when things look dire and grim.
In the new faith-based Western (yes, you heard that correctly, a faith-based Western) “Birthright Outlaw”, coming to Great American Pure Flix this month, we find a daughter kidnapped, a hidden past, and a seemingly futile chance at rescue. Sounds pretty hope-less. But ultimately, it is a story of unconditional love where it’s never too late to start again. Why? Simply because there is always hope.
As the director of “Birthright Outlaw”, Aaron Burns has been quietly building a solid resume of films, all with a thread of hope flowing throughout. As a protege to the Kendrick Brothers, he has played a vital role on films like “War Room”, “Overcomer”, and “Lifemark”, not to mention his directorial debut with the 2022 release, “Legacy Peak".
Burns joins us on the Crossmap Podcast to talk about the importance of getting story elements right to project hope even when there seems to be none. Listen as he explains how “Birthright Outlaw” was inspired by his love of adventure and the importance of his faith.

Just what is a man?
What is a woman?
How do you go about changing gender?
Can you define what each letter in LGBTQ stands for?
If we are all being honest, even the most devoted person of faith can get caught up in a deluge of questions swirling around gender ideology, sexual orientation, and what it means to ‘choose your pronouns’.
Our guest today, Joel Berry, has co-written a book that takes a closer look at the two “original gangsta” genders - male and female, and shows readers the quickly multiplying number of genders that is increasing quickly without any scientific merit in sight.
Titled “The Babylon Bee’s Guide to Gender”, the satirical book (key word here being satire) educates you on how to tell if you’re a man or a woman, and identifies a myriad of gender identities to choose from.
So, if you’re confused about gender and enjoy good comedic storytelling, then this is the book for you. It’s filled with 100 percent true facts and presented through a variety of fabulous illustrations, comprehensive infographics, and even a few creative stick figures to bring this entire issue squarely into focus.
Berry joins us on the Crossmap Podcast to talk about how humor and satire can help communicate truth about gender ideology. Listen as he shares about why he believes it is appropriate for Christian satirists to comment on controversial topics such as this.

It has often been said that everyone has a story to tell. Whether it is a life filled with adventure, an event that is life-changing, or mundane day to day activities spread out over decades, there always seems to be something valuable and worthwhile to share with others.
Most people know Phil Robertson as the Duck Commander. As the patriarch of the highly entertaining reality television showDuck Dynasty, Robertson rose to prominence after inventing a hunting duck call that was unique to all the others. Why? Because it sounded exactly like a duck.
But long before Phil invented the aforementioned duck call and became a reality TV star, he fell in love with Miss Kay and started a family. Sounds downright idyllic, but the truth of the matter is that they didn’t live happily ever after, at least for a long time. Instead, Phil’s demons threatened to tear their lives apart.
In the new movie, The Blind (releasing September 28th), viewers get a glimpse of never-before-revealed moments in Phil and Miss Kay’s lives as he seeks to conquer the shame of his past. Working through the turmoil that handcuffed him in his early adult years, the biopic demonstrates a love story that persevered through the darkest of turbulent moments and rose to create a strong foundation for generations to come.
Son and daughter in-law Willie and Korie Robertson have had a front row seat to watch Phil Robertson’s life as it has unfolded. As the executive producers of “The Blind”, they have worked diligently to craft a film that is not afraid to show the wrinkles and warts of what was once a troubled marriage but one that ultimately shows victory and finding redemption in an unlikely place.
Willie and Korie join us on the Crossmap Podcast to talk about how Phil and Miss Kay’s story has impacted the way they live their lives and how it has shaped their family. Listen as they share about what fueled Miss Kay’s resilience to not throw in the towel and give up on their marriage despite Phil’s indiscretions.

In a roundabout way, experiencing a comedy performance can be seen as an embellished view of that comedian’s life and the world we live in as he or she sees it. Unless of course, the comedian is working on a concept piece or wading through the precepts of performance art (Think Gallagher smashing a watermelon onstage).
There is no scientific formula to what makes a great comedian. It has often been said in this unforgiving world of making people laugh, that either you have it or you don’t. Technique can be taught but the basic ability to make people scream and howl with glee is innate. When all is said and done, the best comedians are completely at ease in their ability to tell a great story with a flair for creativity and razor-sharp timing.
Comedian Jeff Allen, who became famous for the phrase “happy wife, happy life”, is in his fifth decade as a working comedian. You may have seen him on “America’s Got Talent”, “Dry Bar Comedy”, or a host of other venues like HBO, PureFlix, Comedy Central, VH-1, Showtime, on and on it goes. He has performed for our troops on aircraft carriers all across the world and is currently performing around the country as part of his 2.0 Comedy Tour.
But today, Allen will not be talking about his comedy. Sure, he will say some things along the way that will make you smile or even laugh out loud, but instead, Jeff will be sharing his journey of overcoming alcoholism and despair to finding joy in his life and his relationship with God.
In his latest book, “Are We There Yet?: My Journey from Messed Up to a Meaningful Life”, Allen shares both the good and the bad in hopes of encouraging readers along the way.
Allen joins us on the Crossmap Podcast to talk about how he discovered life’s purpose and the many lessons that can be learned by watching a gerbil. Listen as he shares how you can find focus in your life by setting achievable goals.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well. – Psalm 139: 14-15
Furthermore, Genesis teaches us that God created humanity, male and female, in His image and likeness, leaving us with two different genders divinely separated. If we truly believe what these passages from the Old Testament say then why do we as a nation find ourselves seemingly trapped in the grip and sway of gender ideology?
Consider these startling statistics:
Christian Post journalist Brandon Showalter and Summit Ministries president Dr. Jeff Myers believe that what we face is an unprecedented coupling of post-modernist academic theory with an internet-fueled social contagion targeting vulnerable boys and girls who are struggling with their God-given sex.
In their new book, “Exposing the Gender Lie: How to Protect Children and Teens from the Transgender Industry’s False Ideology” Showalter and Dr. Myers unpack and explain transgender ideology to reveal its shocking history and its distortion of common sense ideas.
Showalter and Dr. Myers join us on the Crossmap Podcast to talk about why transgender ideology has taken the world by storm over the past decade. Listen as they share some practical ways parents can equip their child with the truth about their God-given gender and how to expose the lies that come from transgender ideology.

A quick Google search of the word psychic reveals all sorts of interesting yet slightly startling information.
Within seconds your eye is drawn to all kinds of revelatory and self-proclaiming words and phrases … extrasensory perception, clairvoyance, and paranormal just to name a few. Upon closer investigation, one will find a listing for the best places to get a palm reading, tarot cards interpreted, and even a sneak peek into a world beyond our own.
If this ability to discern and identify information hidden from our normal senses sounds mysterious or even a bit evil, well, it is.
Former pyschic Jenn Nizza knows what it means to discern and confront evil. Once trapped in a world of New Age thinking and lifestyle, she was radically saved out of the occult and bondage by Jesus and Jesus Christ. But before that, Nizza was a teacher of the occult and was demonically oppressed.
Well versed on topics such as the law of attraction, past life regression, and mediumship, Nizza, at the age of 36, cried out to Jesus for the first time and became a child of God. Suddenly, the darkness that she had lived in for many years was illuminated. She quit her job and was determined to follow Jesus, wherever her life might lead.
Today, Nizza is now exposing the dark underbelly of New Age, the occult, and paranormal deceptions through her books and a podcast called “The Ex-Psychic Saved".
Nizza joins us on the Crossmap Podcast to talk about how she came to the realization that there was something better than for her out there in the form of a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. Listen as she shares what attracts people to engage with the occult and practical tips on how to avoid it.

For centuries, the Gospel of Jesus Christ has served as the tried and true source for deep joy and lasting peace. People have looked to the Word of God for answers to some of life’s most difficult questions and have always found reassuring answers.
But unfortunately, confidence in these sacred texts has winnowed and waned to the point where supposedly Christian teachers and influencers are now spreading ideas that are very thinly veiled by Scripture. The end result is a generation of supposed believers who don’t really know for sure what God says, what He offers, and what He desires for His children.
As a result, people are being left with a wealth of misgivings on the topics of legalism, the prosperity gospel, spiritual gifts, and twisted beliefs regarding grace, forgiveness, and ultimate truth. These false truths are distorting more and more what the Bible really teaches and intends.
In his latest book “Misled”, YouTube evangelist Allen Parr equips readers to identify and refute seven of the most common false teachings that undermine the Gospel message and lead many well-meaning Christians down a path to nowhere. He purposefully weaves together personal stories from his own life and those he has ministered to to uncover the painful consequences that come with these false teachings.
Parr joins us on the Crossmap Podcast to talk about the cultural quagmire we are living in and why more and more churches are excluding portions of the Bible to fit what society says is truth. Listen as he shares seven of the most misleading and harmful messages that run rampant through the Church today.
