As we continue our series on the life of Abraham, Faith or Fear. This Sunday Pastor Blake continues to teach from Genesis 13:1-18 about Abram and Lot (his nephew). Abram and Lots possessions have grown to the point where Lot decides to part ways with Abram and Abram is reminded on God's initial promise and he moves forward in that promise.

Pastor Blake reviews what we discussed last week from 1 Corinthians 8 about how we as Christians have liberty and we explore 1 Corinthians 9 as we talk about how mature believers sacrifice their liberty for the sake of the Gospel.

This Sunday Pastor Blake continues to teach from Genesis 12:10-20 about how Abram feared Pharaoh and the Egyptians and came up with his own plan to say that Sarai (his wife) was his sister because FEARED they would take his life if he said they were married. God already promised Abram that he would make him a great nation so how is it that God would allow Abram to be killed from the Egyptians? God's promise included protection.

Even though Abram had never heard God's voice, he heard it for the first time and responded in faith.

It's a new year where many people are making resolutions, let's make a joint resolution that we will be a better church together than we have been in the past. Let's remain faithful, choose best over better and be involved in one another's lives in community.

This week we look at Luke 23, during the Crucifixion Jesus is on the cross next to thieves and even in this dire situation God is still able to show up and bring salvation to someone on death row.

On the appointed day Joseph and Mary entered the temple and Simeon met the Lord and peace was upon man.
