The word Christian is mentioned in the new testament 3 times, while the word Disciple is mentioned 261 times. Looking at this comparison it is clear that God wants us to make disciples and not be satisfied with the title Christian.

This week Pastor Blake teaches from Philippians 3:10-21 that though Paul has been walking with God for some time, he recognizes it is only the tip of the iceberg to knowing God fully. The Emmaus Experience Wednesday bible study continues are we focus on Philippians 2:19-30. The reason we press on as believers is we recognize what the Gospel has done for us in saving us, transforming us, and changing us it should motivate us to move on to serve God and others.

This Sunday is the final Sunday before the 2018 Mannafest Men’s conference. We put a pause on our normal series to focus on a timely message from Genesis 14:12-16 about the need for men to rise up and save other men and their families from captivity. Yes we are our brother’s keeper.
