In order to break free you will need a power that is more than what you have. God makes that power available through the power of the Holy Spirit.

This Sunday we continue to look at a passages that relate to those affected by the hurricane. Even through there has been much destruction we can be encouraged to know that God knows exactly what we need and has made provisions for us even though we have suffered loss.

As we continue our bible study in the book of 2nd Timothy, Pastor Blake teaches from 2 Timothy 1:8-18. Paul encourages Timothy to remain faithful and allow the gospel to be his motivation to continue to the race.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the worst flooding that has occurred in the history of Houston, Pastor Blake teaches from Job chapter 1, 2 and 42 on how our situation is similar to Job. Even though many of us have lost possessions God is able to completely restore us similar to how He did with Job in chapter 42.

Even though our city was faced with devastation God is still working and turning devastation into restoration. Pastor Blake informs us of how we can help, shelter, rebuild and meet the needs. God spared us to serve!

This week we begin a new bible study series on the book of 2 Timothy. We look at the background, author and audience. Timothy was encouraged to lead, remember the legacy of faith passed on to him and operate in power and not the spirit of fear.

This Sunday we look in the book of Acts at how the early church functioned and how the church should still function today. The church was on one accord, performing miracles, healing the sick, acting as the hands of God and people believed in the Gospel.
