We continue in our series Set the Captives Free. Pastor Blake teaches from 1 Timothy how the law is not designed to be a list of restrictions to the believer but is used to show the unbeliever about their need for a savior because God is trying to protect you from the penalty of sin.

Pastor Blake continues in The Emmaus Experience presents "In the Face of Demonic Distractions !!!" The backdrop to our new series "Press On: Joy & Pain" the book of Philippians. When you do the work of God, Satan sends individuals to discredit the word of God. Those demonic spirits were sent to be a distraction to the message. But God directs us to press on because of the gospel that's connecting and reaching those who are lost.

This Sunday we continue in our series Set the Captives Free. Pastor Blake teaches from the Joshua 2 and Hebrews 11 about Rahab the Prostitute. Though her past would have normally kept her captive her believe in God allowed her to be used by God to save God’s people and her family and eventually be in the lineage of the Savior of the world, Jesus.

Each of us have an assignment to preach the gospel to unbelievers. The Holy Spirit is always calling people to be sent out to do His work. We, as believers, need to make ourselves available for God to use us to spread his word.

We are ALL born into sin. We were born to crave and fulfill our sinful pleasures and lustful patterns. In this present day, we are embracing sexual culture instead of scriptural culture. We have no ability to get ourselves out of sin. Apart from Jesus Christ, we have no hope. Jesus is the only one who can save us.

This week for the Emmaus Experience Wednesday night bible study we continue in our study of the book of 2 Timothy. Pastor Blake teaches on chapter 4 on how Paul teaches that regardless of how people faltered in ministry in the past and had a rough start they still can finish strong for God and do the work God has called them to. It's not how you start, it's how you finish.

As we continue our series Set the Captives Free, Pastor Blake Wilson teaches from Genesis 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. In the Christian church there has been an assumption that homosexual sin is worse than heterosexual sin. The truth is we are both in the same pit if we fall victim to the same sexually sinful practices. God offers both the homosexual and heterosexual freedom.

God is looking down at the way you live your life. Your works and words will be judged by God. Judgment is not designed for you to fail. This is not a short race. Endurance is the key.

There are two women in the Bible who have been raped, Dinah and Tamar. Perhaps, Tamar's story is in the Bible for you to realize that God no longer wants you to rest in a desolated state. God wants you to be liberated. God wants you to be free. The door of freedom is open, you have to chose to walk through it.
