Judges 1:27-2:4 The Israelites were given every opportunity to start fresh in a new land under God's direction and care. Yet, they failed their first mission: Destroy the pagan inhabitants. Those inhabitants would become a thorn and snare to them for many years to come. How have we compromised to the temptations around us and allowed sin to become a thorn and snare to us? Heb 12:3-11 Joy? In discipline? You're probably saying to yourself, "yeah, right." Well it's true! There is joy in discipline according to God. So, how do we help our children to experience this joy. We find out this week as we continue our series, "Solid Ground."

Dan 10:1-12 We are sensory creatures, are we not? We really rely upon our senses to experience and interpret the world around us. However, many times it is actually unseen things that have greater importance than what we can pick up from oursenses. Take radiation for example! Well, there are spiritual forces at play that we cannot see, and they are far more important than what we can sense. Psalm 127:3 This week we begin to look at rearing young children. What would teaching God's authority look like for a toddler? We consider that and much more as we continue our study of the family.

Dan 9:24-27 We live in an instant world. We are used to things being done quickly whether that's our communication, our entertainment, or even our food! However, when it comes to God's plans, there is no instant version. He is completely sovereign and does what is best when it's best. So, what are His plans for the future? And how do we adapt our mindsets to God's mindset when it comes to His plans. Join us this week as we find answers to those questions and continue our study in Daniel.
