1 Kings 18:17-40 Pastor Andrew warns us about the danger of idols in our lives, and how God is often using tests in our lives to see what is true of us spiritually.

Daniel 6 Are there really any great men and women of God? Don't be too quick to answer that question! What does it mean to be a great person of God? Surely if there was ever a great man of God, it would be Daniel, right? We consider the topic of greatness today in light of the character of God.

1 Thess 5:16-24 The holidays are again upon us and for some that means the remembrance of painful memories. However, God tells us to give thanks in everything. How are we supposed to give thanks even in the midst of painful memories, or present trials? And how do we muster up this thankful attitude. We consider those questions as we prepare for Thanksgiving this week.

Eph 4:25-32 Good communication is really an important part of any good relationship. So, as we think about the family, 'how's your communication?' Perhaps an even better question might be, 'how well does your family think you communicate?' We look at the way we communicate in the home tonight as we continue our series "Solid Ground."

Romans 3:21-26 Righteous. That's probably not a word we use very often. And it certainly isn't a word we would use to describe ourselves or the world around us. Yet, that's exactly what God is looking for. So, how can we have the righteousness we desperately need before a holy God? We consider that question as we come before the table this week.

Eph 5:25-33 Love and respect. Those are words that we all likely resonate with. We all want to feel loved and respected. However, in a marriage it takes work to share and experience these qualities. Daniel 6:1-28 Have you ever been in a situation where for life was in someone else's hands? Perhaps a courtroom comes to mind. This week we find Daniel standing before the king as he is accused of breaking the law. The penalty is death. Is this how God's followers are treated? And wasn't he being punished by the king for praying to God!? Listen this week as we consider how God rescues His people even in the most dire circumstance.

Eph 5:22-24 When it comes to the world around us and the relationships we have, we tend to want to define them the way we set fit. As a society we create things, we decide how we function in the world around us, and sometimes we even define things like marriage. However, what is God's intention for marriage? And how is it supposed to function? We consider those questions this week as we continue our study "Solid Ground."

Daniel 5:1-30 Fear is an interesting thing. For some it serves as a form of entertainment. For others it is something to be avoided at all costs. In our passage today fear certainly wasn't entertaining. Daniel shares something with the king that struck fear in his heart. The reason for the king's fear was of course judgment for his wicked actions. However, his actions and the reason for God's judgment might surprise you as we find application in our own lives. Join us as we continue our study in the book of Daniel.

John 19:17-30 There's no doubt that our society is enamored with the idea of love. However, when we begin to understand a Biblical definition of love, it's obvious that the vast majority of our world does not understand true love. Tonight we consider the love of Jesus. As we begin to see the love of Jesus we will start to see what is missing in so many of our homes.
