God has never intended the life that He gives to be stagnant. We should always be walking toward maturity in Christ. The Bible gives us many examples of what that walk looks like. What are some steps that all Christians are encouraged to take? What's the next step that you need to take in order to be a more mature follower of Jesus?

What are some ways that God wants your life to change in 2012? How does he want you to depend on Him and trust Him more in this new year?

A look at Old Testament prophecy and how it foretold the events of Jesus' birth and that star that rose on that day. Also, how the Magi came a long distance to worship the newborn King. What does God want CrossPoint to do in the new year with his Good News?

Christmas is about God coming into our world - there's no need to complicate it. What is the story of Christmas in its simplest form? God loved us so much that he wanted to send His only Son to die a death that we deserved so that we can be free.

As we get into this year's Christmas season, we turn to Galatians 4 and look at 5 reasons that Christ came into the world to do: 1) Set us free from our slavery, 2) Redeem his original possession, 3) Give us the rights of sonship, 4) Provide us all the riches of heaven and 5) Show us that God's timing is always perfect.

Reading about Achan in Joshua 7 makes us contemplate what the Bible has to say about possessions and taking for ourselves what God has said to leave alone. What are the things of God in your life and what is God saying to us about greed and our unwillingness to share with others? How would God have you share with the needy this week?

Moving forward into 2012, what are some of the challenges the Church will face and how will God prepare the way for us? The key is to trust God, look to God and follow God. We can catch a glimpse as to how to do that by looking at what the Israelites did as they followed God into the unknown territory called the Promised Land.

On the day that our new building is dedicated, we look back at the dedication of Solomon's temple and the kinds of things that Solomon encouraged the people of Israel to do on that day. As we desire to see God move amongst us today, what are some of God's expectations of us?

Continued from last week, we look at Ephesians 4 and James 4 to see some other ways that we can stay connected to God, including: seeking God's face, confession of sin, grieving over sinful lifestyle, cleansing your heart and humbling yourself.

When things get comfortable, we tend to forget God. What are some ways we can remember him? One such memorial is the Lord's Supper, a reminder of God's work on the cross for us. Another is baptism, a reminder of God's power to change our lives. These are just two ways we stay connected with the living God.
