First, a short testimony from Randy Ward about what God is doing in Boston through the ministry he is involved with. Then, Steve's message - Followers of Jesus understand their inadequacy, don't count the cost, seek the will of God, and live in complete dependance upon God. Do you understand your inadequacy in light of God's complete adequacy?

Jesus not only taught his followers the importance of living a life of constant prayer, he also taught them how to pray. Jesus, through his stories and his example, showed his followers the immediacy of seeking out the lost and welcoming them into the Kingdom.

Jesus taught his followers to be the last and the servant of all - what does this look like in everyday life today? Jesus also taught his followers to live a simple and worry-free life (like children) - what traits do kids have that we should have as we look to our Father in heaven?

Followers of Jesus have an eternal perspective that allows God to be God and is honest with self. They have 3 objectives: to deny self, to take up their cross, and follow the leadership of the Lord. It's about humility and following the true leader.

Jesus has all the authority in heaven and earth - how does that reflect upon us as followers? Jesus was willing to associate with people from all walks of life - do we? Jesus encouraged his followers to never get caught up in legalism - what legalism are you caught up in today?

God is the best model for being a great father here on earth, and he models partially through the life of Jesus. Looking at Jesus' life, we see how God is inspiring fathers to have certain traits. If you are a father, how close are you to being like Jesus as you lead your kids?

We begin a new series on what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Taking note of the the way Jesus inspired his disciples to follow him, Steve speaks about what sacrifices must initially be made to follow Jesus and what every follower's purpose and mission must be.

On this Memorial Day weekend, we remember our soldiers who have sacrificed their lives but we also remember our Saviod who sacrificed his life for our freedom. Steve gives a Memorial Day message to encourage us to be in remembrance of Him before taking the Lord's Supper.

Before Jesus left to go back into heaven, he promised to give his people the Comforter. What kinds of work does the Holy Spirit do in our lives? What are some things to avoid that end up preventing the work of the Holy Spirit?
