The Weekly Blessing:
May God bless you and keep you in love and grace this week.
As you begin this journey into believing like Jesus,
May God open your heart to a clearer and more beautiful picture of the divine.
May any confusion and frustration in your life about God begin to give way to a perfect peace.
As we journey together, may your spirit resonate with God’s spirit,
Confirming for you the truth of what Jesus believed.
And may Jesus’ beliefs become our beliefs,
So that Jesus’ behavior can become our behavior.
Amen.

Closing song: Everlasting Light by Mosaic MSC
The Blessing:
May God Bless you and keep you this week as you navigate the complexities of your everyday normal life.
May you live the life of a peacemaker in your work, whatever that might be.
For those whose professional lives feel shrouded in darkness: may you find the strength to hope that the dawn will soon appear.
For those facing ethical dilemmas, perhaps a path of promotion is in front of you, but it will lead you away from the path of Jesus,
May you find the courage to rebel as Shiphrah and Puah did, acting in wise and cunning ways that promote life and not death.
For those who are responsible for creating and maintaining the ethics of their professional environment, to those who have been entrusted with leadership and influence:
May you find the courage to model the way of Jesus, to create an environment that promotes life, an environment that values people over corporate profits or personal gain.
And may all of you find renewed strength for this week’s work by trusting in faith that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you.
Amen

Closing Song: At the Table by Josh Garrels
Week #8 Blessing:
May God bless you and keep you
May Wisdom open your minds and hearts
that you might become a person of divine influence.
For those facing confusion in their faith, caught in the middle of what you once believed and what you might believe:
I pray that, like Lydia, God would open your mind to this good news:
You are loved
You are forgiven
You are chosen
You are designed with a destiny.
For those, who like Paul, have seen doors shut and opportunities lost:
May God open your eyes to the “Macedonians” in your life crying out for help.
And may you have the vision to go and give generously of yourself.
And now, to our God who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ever ask or imagine in Christ Jesus our Lord,
We give our time, talents and treasure.
We trust you with all our confusion and our questions,
Believing that you have prepared a place for all of us at your table.
Amen.

Trigger Warning: Transgender, gender variance, gender violence. If these topics trigger emotional trauma, please practice the self-care that is best for you.
Specifically 23 - 28 minutes into this podcast. (18-23 min into the message)
The Blessing:
May God Bless you and keep you
May love shine her light of truth on the lies you have been told about God and yourself.
For those who have been made to feel like an outsider, unwelcomed by God,
May the Spirit change your internal status from variant to valuable.
May you know that your desire to experience God in community
is the only prerequisite for your inclusion at Crossroads,
A family of faith centered on the radical love of Jesus, who was the ultimate variant.
And no matter what has led to your feeling excluded from the love of God or led to your exclusion from other faith communities,
Whether it was your gender identity, sexuality, financial position, intellectual abilities, your immigration status, marital status, political values or any other number of labels that can divide and separate us,
Today, may you leave here knowing that: You are fully understood by God,
You are fully welcomed, affirmed, and included here, that nothing can ever separate you from the perfect love of God.
In Christ, you are not a variant; You are, always were and always will be a valuable, child of love.

Closing song: "Speak to the Mountains" by Chris McClarney BLESSING
For those who hunger and thirst for righteousness this morning,
Who feel trapped, silenced, traumatized and powerless:
May you experience the blessing of God’s assurance that
Your hunger for righteousness will be satisfied and your thirst for justice will be quenched.
May you like Tamar discern the right moment, the right path and take action even at great personal risk.
May you find those faithful friends to stand beside you and take action with you.
And to those who have allowed fear and self-interest to take root in your leadership, may you find the courage to repent and restore what you have taken.
To those unwilling to repent, who are intoxicated with power and greed, who continue to fight regulations and laws meant to protect the vulnerable, elevate the poor and vindicate the oppressed:
May God bless you with a Tamar!
A courageous survivor of your injustices,
A brave soul, filled with the spirit of Jesus to lay a trap that will end your oppression, not to bring you to a place of ruin but to a place of repentance.
Finally, for all the in-between ones, the ones in between oppressor and oppressed, righteous and unrighteous, just and unjust
To the ones humbly struggling to live the peacemaking way of Jesus:
May the story of Judah and Tamar inspire you to humbly repent when repentance is needed and to courageously take action when action is needed.
Amen
