People view their names as important. Names are important to God. The most important name we should know is Jesus Christ. In ancient times names were more than just a label. Names were meant to describe a person’s nature, character, or personality. This week we discuss the name the name Crossroads Vineyard Church. The meaning of Crossroads is three-fold. (1) We want to be a church of people who live their faith every day, (2) we want to be a church where everyone feels welcome to worship their heavenly Father on Sunday and fellowship in the family of God every other day of the week, (3) and finally we want to be a church that teaches the Bible’s truths and principles in order for you to make God honoring decisions in your life.

Many times we wish there were more hours in our days. We have sports practices & games to attend, homework to do, careers to manage, college classes to attend, books to read, and so much more. We wonder where the day goes when we go to bed. When someone asks us what we did that day, we can only tell them a few things because the things we did were so meaningless. We have enough time in our days to accomplish all the things we need to accomplish. In order to accomplish these things we need to reprioritize our activities by re-evaluating our activities.

The economy has turned for the worse. The price of milk is rising. The price of gas is rising. Homes are being foreclosed at an extremely alarming rate. Everyone is feeling the affects of inflation. Through all this, God still wants us to put him first in our finances. It's a leap of faith we must take because his promises are eternal.

We have a desire to belong to a team, community, family, or club. This desire to belong was put in us by our Heavenly Father. We try many different ways to belong to a group of people we may not even like. As seen by the early church, Christ has given us a community to belong to. The early church model of teaching, fellowship, generosity, and community involvement is the church we strive to become.

There are many questions surrounding Christianity. Truthfully speaking, there is only one question about Christianity the really matters. That question is, "Who is Jesus?" When we get the answer to this question it becomes personal. When God gets personal all other questions become smaller and insignificant.

In today's world we are taught to be autonomous and live for ourselves. The Bible clearly tells us that 'It is not good for man to be alone.'
