Watching Jesus move through the world in the Gospels is an incredible journey. Jesus is always surprising. His ways are unique and His work is just different. This is on display in the miraculous account where Jesus raises the widow’s son from the dead. Filled with incredible clarity and insight, there is much we will learn as we study it together.

In Mark 2:1-11, a paralyzed man is brought to Jesus by his four brave friends. They lower him through a roof, hoping for a miracle. But before Jesus talks about the man’s physical condition, He speaks to his deepest need: “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

This story teaches us that true healing goes beyond what we can see. While Jesus cares about our physical struggles, His main goal is to restore our souls. He heals us completely—body, mind, and spirit—giving us freedom and forgiveness that no medicine can give us.

In this passage, we’ll discover how Jesus not only meets our immediate needs but also offers a healing that changes us from the inside out. 

At Crossroads, we always seek to simply respond to Jesus. Since Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we trust Him even when all hope seems lost. How we seek after Jesus in times of trouble and how we respond to His invitations will have a tremendous impact on our lives. In today’s message, we will see the tremendous miracle that Jesus bestows on some of the most marginalized people in their society. 

Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could defy the laws of nature? Like ascending bodily into heaven. Like walking through walls. Like walking on water. Do you know that Jesus did all of these things? It is one of the proofs of His divinity. Do you want to know something even more amazing? The apostle Peter also walked on water. Join us this weekend as we explore the miracle of walking on water.

There are many important moments in the life of Jesus. At some of the most profound moments, Jesus invited a small group of His disciples to be there. Peter, James, and John got to see Jairus’ daughter raised, as well as to join Jesus in praying in the Garden of Gethsemane. But one of the most incredible and miraculous moments in the life of Jesus happened when Jesus was transfigured. This moment is monumental, yet people rarely speak of it. So we will explore the significance of Jesus’ transfiguration and see how it impacts us to this very day.

As we continue our series unpacking the Miracles of Jesus, today’s message will reveal His radical response to desperate faith. We learn that it’s not the size of our faith that moves mountains but the intention behind Who our faith is in. When we put our faith and trust in Jesus, we recognize that He restores what is broken, His love knows no end, and even our smallest step of sincerely seeking Him can lead to some of the greatest miracles. Join us as we look at how the journey of walking with Jesus can lead us from fearful to faith-full.

One of the most famous miracles of Jesus is the feeding of the 5,000. It is the only miracle that all four of the Gospels speak of. There are soo many reasons for this. Maybe most provocatively, it’s because the children of Israel still rejoiced in God’s feeding the multitudes in the wilderness with the bread of heaven. And now, in Jesus, a new and greater Moses was here. As we explore this amazing miracle, there is much for us to learn about walking with Jesus.

Jesus is many things. Preacher. Prophet. Savior. Lord. Yes, all of these things. But Jesus is also a miracle worker. There are soo many miracles contained within the Gospels. So as we begin our Miracles of Jesus series, it seems right to start at Jesus’ very first miracle, the transformation of water into wine in Cana of Galilee.

Here we are. Another year. But 2025 is a very, very special year for the Crossroads family. Why? Because our church family turns 50 years old this year. On October 5, 1975, Crossroads humbly began at Columbia River High School. And what God has done!!! We will be celebrating throughout this entire year as we embark on a Year of Legacy.

The new year often brings hope for so many. This is because we all want a fair shot at a new beginning. Unfortunately, a new calendar date doesn't always equal new habits and healthier life choices. Jesus offers a more accurate reality. The Gospel is unique in providing the fresh start we all want because it gives us a brand-new life. The only way to truly start over is by exploring the life-giving message of Jesus in the gospel of forgiveness.
