Leviticus 15 closes out our Cleansing series. As we have been seeing throughout the book of Leviticus, God is concerned for the health and well-being of His people. Not only is He concerned for their spiritual well-being, God is caring for the whole person within the covenant community. This chapter deals frankly with various bodily emissions of both men and women. We will also see the cleansing rituals associated with them.

Leviticus 14 is the companion chapter for Leviticus 13. We will see the cleansing and reintegration ritual for those who have formally been declared unclean. A beautiful application of this chapter is the fact that God accepts again back into the covenant community when we have been away because of our uncleanness. This points us to God's love and grace.

As we continue our Cleansing series in the book of Leviticus, we now move to diseases of the skin, including the much discussed leprosy. God's continued concern for the health and well-being of His children is again on display. God uses the priests as health officials. As we continue to find in Leviticus, there is much application for the contemporary follower of Jesus.

For the Crossroads community, this year has been nothing short of extraordinary. God has done so much in our midst. It would be unbelievable if we didn’t believe in the God of the possible! Looking back and pressing forward is the perfect year-end message for us as a family of faith and as individuals. As we rejoice in what God has done, we will also be encouraged to press forward into the new year. God has a plan for 2014 and we want to be in step with His Spirit. See you Sunday!
