  • Ducks in a Row: Many Things | Full Service (Week 2)

    Send us Fan Mail

We're continuing Ducks in a Row: Reordered Loves, a series about learning to love the right things in the right way, in the right order, for the right reasons.

In Week 2, Many Things, Kevin Syes takes us to the familiar story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38–42.

Martha is busy serving Jesus. She's doing something good—something necessary. But she's also distracted, worried, anxious and pulled in every direction.

Meanwhile, Mary simply sits at the feet of Jesus.

Jesus doesn't tell Martha that serving doesn't matter. He doesn't call her out of the kitchen—He calls her out of her frenzy.

Because sometimes we can become so distracted by doing something good that we miss what's better.

Join us for worship and a message about our competing priorities, the desires that shape our lives, and the invitation Jesus gives us to stop trying to produce something for Him long enough to simply receive something from Him.

    Welcome to Crossroads Church!

This week we begin a brand-new series, Ducks in a Row: Reordered Loves.

We spend a lot of energy trying to get our lives in order—our schedules, responsibilities, relationships, finances, work, and plans. But what if the most important thing to put in order isn't our calendar at all?

In Week 1, First Things First, Senior Pastor Reid Robinette takes us to Mark 12:28–34, where Jesus is asked which commandment matters most.

His answer brings us back to the heart of following Jesus: Love God and love people.

St. Augustine taught that our fundamental problem isn't always loving the wrong things—it can be loving good things in the wrong order. Before we try to rearrange everything else in our lives, Jesus invites us to examine what has captured our hearts.

Join us for worship and a message that challenges us to ask:

What do I really love most?

  • After God's Own Heart | Week 11: His Last Words

    Send us Fan Mail

At the end of his life, David gathers Israel's leaders and then turns personally to his son Solomon—the man who will become king after him. With only so much left to say, what does David believe matters most?

Know the Lord. Serve Him wholeheartedly. And never stop seeking Him.

But David speaks these words while facing an ending he never would have chosen. His dream of building God's temple will belong to someone else. Through David's final words, Senior Pastor Reid Robinette reminds us that disappointment, shattered dreams, and unexpected circumstances don't separate us from the loving presence of God.

And David's story ultimately points beyond himself to Jesus—the One who shed His own blood so that we could be welcomed into God's Kingdom.

    📖 Scripture: 1 Chronicles 28:1–10

    Key Thought:
Know the Lord. Serve Him wholeheartedly. Seek Him continually.

This week we continue our series After God's Own Heart as Senior Pastor Reid Robinette explores one of the most memorable moments in David's life.

When David brings the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem, two very different processions unfold. One ends in fear and tragedy. The other ends in worship, blessing, and celebration. Through these two parades, we discover an important truth: we don't decide how God's presence comes to us—God does.

Ultimately, David's story points beyond itself to Jesus, the King who made a way for sinful people to experience the presence of a holy God through His sacrifice.

    Scripture: 2 Samuel 6

    Key Thought:
The greatest miracle isn't that we can approach God—it's that God made a way to come near to us through Jesus.

This week we continue our series After God's Own Heart as Mike Strine explores one of the greatest friendships in the Bible—David and Jonathan.

In a world where relationships are often built around convenience or common interests, Scripture shows us something deeper. Jonathan's friendship with David was marked by humility, loyalty, sacrifice, and a shared devotion to God.

Through their story, we discover how God uses friendships to strengthen our faith, shape our character, and remind us of the greatest Friend we could ever have—Jesus Christ.

If you've ever wondered what biblical friendship really looks like, this message is for you.

    📖 Scripture:
    1 Samuel 18:1–4

    Key Thought:
Godly friendships strengthen our faith, shape our future, and point us to Jesus.

This week we continue our series After God's Own Heart as Corbin Ferguson explores one of the most sobering moments in David's life.

After making a prideful decision to take a census of Israel, David is confronted with the weight of his sin. His response teaches us an important truth: being after God's own heart doesn't mean living a perfect life—it means taking sin seriously and responding with genuine repentance.

Through David's story in 2 Samuel 24, we discover that conviction is not meant to push us away from God but to lead us back to Him. Ultimately, David points us to Jesus—the perfect King who took the judgment we deserved so we could experience God's mercy and grace.

    Scripture:
    2 Samuel 24

    Key Thought:
Being after God's own heart doesn't mean being sinless. It means taking your sin seriously.

This week we continue our summer series, After God's Own Heart, as Barak Frederickson explores one of the most important moments in David's life.

In 2 Samuel 7, David wants to build a house for God. But instead of accepting David's plans, God makes David an incredible promise—one that ultimately points to Jesus.

This passage contains the covenant with David, a promise that would shape the rest of the Bible. Through it we discover that God's greatest gift isn't the fulfillment of our plans, but the arrival of the promised King who brings His kingdom to the world.

If you've ever wrestled with trusting God's plan over your own, this message is a powerful reminder that His promises are always greater than our expectations.

    Scripture: 2 Samuel 7

This week we continue our summer series, After God's Own Heart, as Evan Robinson explores one of the most beautiful and unexpected stories in David's life.

When King David asks if there is anyone left from Saul's family, everyone expects justice—or even revenge. Instead, David extends extraordinary kindness to Mephibosheth, the grandson of Saul, welcoming him to eat at the king's table for the rest of his life.

This remarkable act points us to something far greater. David's kindness foreshadows the heart of Jesus—a King who seeks us out, restores our identity, and invites us into His family not because we've earned it, but because of His grace.

Whether you've followed Jesus for years or you're still exploring who He is, this message is a powerful reminder that God's heart is full of mercy, kindness, and invitation.

    📖 Scripture:
    2 Samuel 9:1–13

    💬 Key Thought:
God's kindness doesn't just change our circumstances—it changes our identity.

This week we continue our summer series, After God's Own Heart, as Pastor Reid Robinette explores one of the most overlooked seasons in David's life.

After his victory over Goliath, David didn't immediately become king. Instead, he spent years running, hiding, and living in caves.

Through David's journey, we discover that God often forms us before He fulfills His promises. The difficult seasons we wish we could skip may actually be the places where God is doing His greatest work.

No matter where you are on your journey today, this message is a reminder that God is with you, His plan is unfolding, and you're never alone.

    📖 Scripture:
    1 Samuel 22:1-5

This week in After God's Own Heart, Executive Pastor Aaron Walton walks through one of the most difficult chapters in David's story.

After David's sin with Bathsheba and the death of Uriah, God sends the prophet Nathan with a message David never expected to hear.

What unfolds is a powerful story of confrontation, confession, consequences, and grace.

Through David's failure and repentance, we discover a God who refuses to abandon His people to hidden sin and who lovingly calls us back to Himself.
