When Jesus performs His second great sign, the healing of a royal official's son, He shows our devotion to Him must go deeper than believing He can solve our problems and fix what's broken. Our belief must be that He is the Christ, the Son of God, the Savior of the world. Any belief less than this conviction is less than saving faith. Listen in to see the difference between shallow, superficial faith, and true, heartfelt trust in Jesus.

In our day of tremendous technological advance, people are becoming increasingly isolated one from another. Though technology can be useful in promoting the gospel, God still uses people to spread the word about Jesus Christ, which is the most effective and fulfilling evangelistic strategy. Each Christian is part of the process of "sowing" the gospel and "reaping" saved souls for the Kingdom of God, and no Christian should see himself unnecessary or irrelevant in evangelism. All Christians should pray that we see evangelism as a vital priority, reaching the lost even if it costs us money, comfort, or time. Listen to this podcast to see how you fit in with the spread of the gospel!

Too often we see worship as an external activity. Where we worship, what rituals we perform, what activities we do, are considered worship. In this episode of CrossTown, To the woman at the well, Jesus explains that worshiping God is a matter of the heart. To worship in "spirit and truth" means from the perspective of the inner heart change, produced by the Holy Spirit in the believer, where truth is focused in Jesus Christ, the embodiment of God's truth. When Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well, He asks her for a drink of water. But in exchange He offers her more than she could have imagined. Jesus relates to her a life giving message, one that offers eternal salvation rather than mere temporal satisfaction;   a universal message, one for all people regardless of outward appearances; and a confrontational message, one that does not shrink from pointing out sin. In John chapter 3, Jesus tells a man named Nicodemus he must be "born again" before he can "see" or "enter the Kingdom of God." What does this mean? How can a person be born again? How does this doctrine of the new birth ("regeneration") play out in the life of the sinner? How is it accomplished, and who accomplishes it?
