  • Maternal Care & Costs Out Loud!

In this week's podcast episode, we had the privilege of speaking with Megan Reneau, Director of Partnerships at Chasing the Rainbows and baby loss survivor.

Our conversation delved into the issue of maternal healthcare deserts, where women aren't receiving the care they need and deserve, especially during pregnancy and birth. It's heartbreaking that the high costs associated with childbirth, pregnancy loss, infant loss, infertility, and maternal care often hinder people from getting the care they require or the future they deserve.

We believe it's time to break the silence on this topic and unite baby loss survivors to join our volunteering efforts and make a difference. Let's work together to ensure that every woman has access to the care and support they need.

  • Infertility Insensitivity Out Loud!

Fertility loss survivors already are handling so much in the depths of trying to conceive or have a baby, that its hard to process the unintentional insensitive comments of others. By having Jackie, an infertility warrior in the midst of her journey, sharing and highlighting the impact of these insensitive comments, we want other warriors to feel connection, raise awareness and empathy. It's important for people to realize the power of their words and how they can affect those going through infertility. This podcast segment serves as a reminder to be mindful and compassionate, especially during sensitive occasions like Mother's Day and Bereaved Mother's Day. It's a way to honor and support our fellow infertility survivors, you're not alone in your journey. We see you, we hear you, we feel for you, we are you.

  • Insensitivity Out Loud!

Returning to work, being out in public places, and being around others is extremely hard after losing a baby. Hearing peoples insensitive comments to "try to make us feel better" isn't helpful and honestly does more harm than good. Armoring ourselves to prepare for these comments and having confidence in a response is crucial. It not only helps advocate for ourselves but it helps the baby loss survivors who will come after us by educating people on what to say (or more importantly, what not to say). Join us during this Bre and Bee segment on how we handled and continue to handle these throw away comments.
