Bishop Ackerman explains our Gospel reading first to our children and then to the rest of us. The Gospel reading can be rather confusing for the Spirit leads Jesus into the wilderness to be tested and we have to ask ourselves, “Why would the Spirit do this?” By recalling his own experiences at the very spot Jesus was tempted, Bishop Ackerman paints a picture of the wilderness and how we might face our own temptations this season of Lent.
