Many great art pieces: This year there are many western pictures, with one of my favorite pieces being a cow. I am enjoying watching these students' talents grow because many of them participated back in Junior High and Middle School.
For those of you wanting to get out of the house for new scenery, we have two great trips: One to New Orleans to stay at the Marriott for two nights, also includes $100 in scratch-off tickets from Felder’s Buy and Bye, and travel pillows from Matrezzz Guys.
The second trip was donated by Billy and Karen Holle to their place in Port O’Conner. The house has 6 bedrooms and can sleep 13 adults. There is also a pool in the backyard. Choose any 2 nights, Sunday-Wednesday. Subject to availability. Expires one year from February 25, 2021. Excludes 4th of July, Memorial Day, and Labor Day weekends.
Needing some workers for a spring cleaning in your yard? We have the perfect package for you. Five ROTC students will do yardwork for four hours on a Saturday morning under the supervision of Captain Baise. This includes moving, weedeating, putting out mulch painting and just about anything else you may need. Will need to use by the end of the school year.
What happens to the money you earn at Arts and Appetizers?
In August we will send out grant applications for all of the instructional staff. Teachers will be able to apply for up to $500 in instructional items for their classroom, grade levels and departments can request up to $3,000 and a campus can receive up to $5,000. Last year we were able to fund around $77,500 in mini-grants. I would really like to get this number to $100,000 this year
