  • WTMusic: Steve Riley Stands His Ground
Steve Riley is very proud of the version of L.A. Guns he and Kelly Nickels have put together, which is why he's so glad to be able to join We Talk Music to tell us about the upcoming album Renegades.

Steve breaks down each band member's role and why he's so happy to work with them as he looks toward a bright future for the group. It's great to hear a guy who's been through so many highs and lows in the music business in a good place professionally, and it makes for a great chat.

Thanks to Steve Riley for his time, his insight, and his Blackie Lawless and Chris Holmes stories. It's a fantastic time.

  • WTMusic: Ron Keel – I Don’t Quit
Ron Keel is on the We Talk Music podcast.

You know, that doesn't seem to do it justice. Let's try it again.

RON FREAKIN' KEEL IS ON THE WE TALK MUSIC PODCAST!!!

    There, that's much better.

Ron Keel of course has long been a favourite of WTM hosts Brett and Mo, which is why they loved being able to talk to the man for 100 minutes.

To call Ron Keel a force of nature wouldm't be doing him service, as that's just not a strong enough description for him. Listening to the singer is like being under a learning tree from a man with more than ten lifetimes worth of experiences. He's extremely passionate about everything he does, and obviously that extends to the new Ron Keel Band album South X South Dakota.

It's great as he explains how the album came to be, but he also gives us a bunch of stories from back in the day when Keel was making it's mark on the charts and being produced by the legendary Gene Simmons.

So do yourself a favour and set yourself a good chunk of time to absorb this interview. It's just as awesome as he is.

  • WTMusic: Gus G – Music and Mashed Potatoes
Firewind has a brand new self titled album out and that seemed like a great excuse to bring guitarist Gus G back on the show.

Previously a guest to talk about the solo album Fearless, it's a true pleasure to have Gus G back. Not only is Gus one of the best guitarists working in music but he's easy to talk to and a great podcast guest.

Gus tells us all about his decision to bring Firewind back and how difficult it was. He also gives us an update on why he believes he has more musically to say with the band, and the different scratches he itches doing solo albums.

There's talk of the long journey Firewind has had over two decades, and the bands formation when Gus was still a teenager.

We also going to depth on the songs on the new album and their creation. Gus also tells us about some of his personal favourite no voices (Instrumental) records.

It's a fun 30-minute chat with Gus G we're sure will brighten your day just a little bit. Check it out and please spread the word.

  • WTMusic: Mike Orlando on Her Chariot Awaits
We really wish we could have had a longer wish with guitar virtuoso Mike Orlando, because it's always cool when it feels like you're talking to someone you've known for years despite just meeting. But that's the type of down to earth guy Steve Orlando is, and that's why we wish him nothing but the best for Her Chariot Awaits, his project with singer Ailyn.

Check out the show and make sure to give the band a listen, it's great hard rock music.
