  • Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo 407: Santa With Muscles

It’s beginning to look a lot like Boogaloo! Hulk Hogan is Santa Claus in Santa With Muscles! Do you really need more of a pitch? How about Mila Kunis as a wide-eyed orphan? How about Garrett Morris as a crusty old orphanage … something… It’s never quite clear why Garrett is there.

Welcome back for more Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo. In season 4, “Holi-Damned”, your five hosts continue their search for the ultimate B-Movie with a holiday binge of 8 low budget gems.

Blake Thorn (Hulk Hogan) is a self-made millionaire who sells bodybuilding supplements and equipment. One day, while recklessly playing paintball, he is targeted by police. He is chased to a shopping mall, where he hides by putting on a Santa costume. He slides down a garbage chute to escape the police and bangs his head, resulting in amnesia. Mistaken by Lenny (Don Stark) as the mall Santa, Blake begins to think he really is Santa Claus. Meanwhile, the evil scientist Ebner Frost (Ed Begley, Jr.) tries to take over an orphanage in order to gain access to the magical crystals underneath it and dispatches his henchmen to destroy it. However, Blake manages to rescue the children.

  • Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo 406: Elves (1989)

It’s beginning to look a lot like Boogaloo! In Elves, the great Dan Haggerty is an alcoholic chain-smoking ex-cop who spends his first day as a store Santa chasing a mythological murderer and a bunch of Nazis! How’s that for a film pitch?!

Welcome back for more Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo. In season 4, “Holi-Damned”, your five hosts continue their search for the ultimate B-Movie with a holiday binge of 8 low budget gems.

Unaware of sinister goings-on involving her grandfather and his Nazi pals, a non-festive teen named Kirsten sulks her way through the Christmas season as she works at the snack counter of a local department store.

Mike McGavin (Dan Haggerty) is an ex-cop who lost his badge when he lost control of his alcoholism. Jobless, penniless, and recently served a notice of eviction from his ramshackle trailer home, Mike turns to his old friend – the manager of the department store – for help, and winds up becoming the store Santa after the prior Santa is murdered by the elf. Without a proper home, Mike sneaks into the store at night to sleep in the storage room and live off the snack counter left-overs. One night, he hears Kirsten and her friends, who have also sneaked in, frolicking through the store as they wait for their boyfriends to show up for an all-night party. A shadowy Nazi group arrives instead, planning to kidnap Kirsten and find an elf so the master race can finally be made reality.

  • Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo 405: Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny

It’s beginning to look a lot like Boogaloo! What do Santa, a bunny, and Thumbelina have in common? Nothing? That’s mostly right, but they do all show up in the wild ride Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny!

Welcome back for more Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo. In season 4, “Holi-Damned”, your five hosts continue their search for the ultimate B-Movie with a holiday binge of 8 low budget gems.

Poor Santa Claus. This live-action feature finds his sleigh stuck in the sand on a Florida beach only days before Christmas Eve. He psychically summons prepubescent aid from a nearby subdivision. In order to extricate Santa’s sleigh, the local children bring many different animals, but nothing works, and the kids are afraid they won’t get any gifts this year.

To boost their spirits, Santa tells them the story of Thumbellina, and the setting dissolves into a “fantasy within a fantasy”. Thumbellina is a beautiful but very tiny girl, “not much larger than a clothes pin”. She becomes lost in the forest during the winter and finds refuge in the underground home of Mrs. Mole. A neighbor mole, Mr. Digger, falls in love and wants to marry Thumbellina, but she’s having none of it. When warm weather returns, she runs back into the forest and deserts the two kindly creatures who saved her life, crushing their spirits forever … the end.

As Santa is finishing his story and yes, that is its intended conclusion, he and the children hear the wail of a siren. The “Ice Cream Bunny” has arrived in his antique fire engine to save the day!

As always, the KFEB hosts provide ratings for the films that are based on the fun, enjoyment, and craziness of the film. These scores will be tabulated and an on-going grid will keep you up to date with the search.

So sit back and enjoy the laughs as KFEB digs into a movie the filmmakers shamelessly called “breath-taking!”
