  • Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo 404: Santa Claws (1996)

It’s beginning to look a lot like Boogaloo! We enjoy a Scream Queens Christmas with the festive slasher horror Santa Claws! (Not the one with the kittens, but we’re sure it’s also great).

Welcome back for more Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo. In season 4, “Holi-Damned”, your five hosts continue their search for the ultimate B-Movie with a holiday binge of 8 low budget gems.

Raven Quinn (Debbie Rochon) is a scream queen with a couple of problems… her marriage is falling apart and her next door neighbor, Wayne, is not the nice guy he seems to be. Wayne, who killed his mother and uncle when he was a child, is obsessed with Raven and wants to do anything to make her happy. This includes anyone he feels is exploiting her in even the slightest way. He gets nuttier and nuttier and eventually begins dressing up like Santa Claus and killing people with a claw.

The claw and his outfit are screen-used props. It’s a complicated story. You really have to see it.

Also 20% of the film is beautiful women making a striptease horror movie. I told you it’s complicated!

As always, the KFEB hosts provide ratings for the films that are based on the fun, enjoyment, and craziness of the film. These scores will be tabulated and an on-going grid will keep you up to date with the search.
So sit back and enjoy the laughs as KFEB rings your slay bells!

  • Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo 403: The Great Rupert

It’s beginning to look a lot like Boogaloo! It wouldn’t be the holidays without Jimmy Durante! But this time it isn’t a tale of Frosty, it’s the story of a dancing squirrel called The Great Rupert! Also released as A Christmas Wish, this wacky story will warm your heart and confuse your brain!

Welcome back for more Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo. In season 4, “Holi-Damned”, your five hosts continue their search for the ultimate B-Movie with a holiday binge of 8 low budget gems.

The Great Rupert is a heartwarming holiday classic about a New York family (led by Durante) who is down on their luck at Christmas time. Shortly before Christmas, they move into a ground floor apartment where Rupert the squirrel lives in the attic rafters. Just when it seems that the holiday will come and go without so much as a Christmas tree, Rupert acts as the family’s guardian angel, not only saving Christmas, but changing their lives forever.

The film is enlivened with the warmth and sweetness of an unforgettable love story between Terry Moore (of Mighty Joe Young) and Tom Drake (of Meet Me in St. Louis). Rupert the Squirrel (created using George Pal’s Academy Award winning animation technique) will charm young and old alike. Jimmy Durante shines when he sings Jingle Bells and other well-loved Christmas carols in the evocative voice that made him one of America’s recording legends.

Welcome back for more Kung Fu Electric Boogaloo. In season 4, “Holi-Damned”, your five hosts continue their search for the ultimate B-Movie with a holiday binge of 8 low budget gems.
