Cult Film Showdown: Enter the Octagon Archives - We Talk Podcasts

The iconic and timeless photos of photographer Elliott Landy have captured many of the most important music artists and moments of the late 60's. The list includes Van Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Bob Dylan, Santana, Eric Clapton, Jefferson Airplane and Woodstock 1969 among others.

The Band Photographs 1968-1969 was published after a extremely successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015, highlighting the Band at this classic time of their careers, but no where near all of the pictures he took were available to you. This is why Elliott joined We Talk Music host Brett Monro for a chat about his current ongoing Kickstarter for Volume 2 which will allow him to release more of the most intimate pictures capturing the enduring legacy of Elliott Landy's work and these fabulous musicians in the Band he's forever linked to.

To find out more about Elliott, his photography inside and outside the music industry, the Kickstarter Campaign and much more make sure to check out his world class website, and enjoy the podcast.

On this episode, I have the privilege of chopping it up with my guy, music artist, and 17-year NBA vet, CJ Miles. (@Masfresco)

CJ talks about his introduction to hoops, growing up in Dallas Texas, and attending the same high school that former NCAA champion, and 2X NBA All-star Larry Johnson went to - Skyline High School.

CJ speaks about the thought process that went into him leaving high school and forgoing his college eligibility to jump into the NBA, and become the youngest player at 18, ever drafted by the Utah Jazz, 34th overall in 2005.

CJ also discusses his experiences battling the gauntlet that was the NBA Western Conference through the playoffs, matching up with the likes of Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Tracy McGrady, and Manu Ginobili.

Finally, CJ opens up about his time playing with the Raptors, the run they made, and the love that he felt from the fans up North in Toronto.

During his playing career, CJ was known for being a gritty, skilled, sharpshooter. As a music artist, Masfresco is known for being a longtime hip-hop fan, historian and emcee with a very mellow style. Tune in to hear more about his story from setting off alarms in his high school gym to getting respect and praise from NBA legends Kobe Bryant and Larry Bird.

Åge Sten Nilsen aka GLAM is back on the We Talk Music podcast and it's obvious talking to him he's in a great place in his career thanks in large part to Wig Wam's song Do Ya Wanna Taste It being in the opening title sequence for the HBO Max hit Peacemaker. as well as the band's new album Out of the Dark receiving rave reviews. It makes us happy too, because the talented singer and his band Wig Wam deserve it, as they harken back to the best of the hard rocking, big chorus bands of the mid eighties to early nineties.

In fact, maybe the secret sauce to their sound is even older than that, as Åge tells us about the band's "history", a secret origin not on their Wikipedia or elsewhere, it's exclusively here on WTM if you want to know the band's amazing, colossal past, so make sure and check it out and all their great music, you won't regret the experience.
