We talk about self-care and wellness A LOT. You can’t open a social media app or a magazine without seeing those buzzwords. When we think of self-care we usually think about preparing nourishing meals, moving our bodies, minimizing screen time, taking a bath, booking time with a therapist and so on… it’s very rare that I hear anyone talk about money. It’s very rare that I read a post about financial self-care… which is something I've just coined. We work for money, we need money to survive, we use money every day and yet no one ever really talks about it in terms of our wellbeing. On social media no one likes to talk about money yet everyone wants to appear as though money is in abundance for them… even if that’s not the case at all. Why is talking about money so taboo?
I do not have the answer to this question! But, it’s something that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately as I navigate my own relationship with money. So today I wanted to share what financial wellness looks like for me and a few tips and pieces of advice I wish I knew sooner.
In this episode I am deep-diving into all things money. How I paid off $10,000 worth of debt in 10 months and my tips and tricks for getting on top of your finances. I share my personal experience with credit cards, debt, investing, saving and everything in between.
