This is a bloody episode and guest Kris Soekotjo is back on to tell it with me.

Whether you are a history freak or not, you can still appreciate the terror it would've been like to grow up as a Spartan and the bravery of Greece's national hero, Laskarina Bouboulina who played a huge role in Greece's independence today... 

In this episode, we cover the harsh life of being a Spartan including cheese alter deaths and babies being thrown off cliffs... yeah. We also cover the contrasting and pleasurable life Spartan women enjoyed in such a bloody period. We end on the story of the brave and victorious Laskarina Bouboulina, Greece's national hero whose story should be told and whose name should be revered.

It's another cousin! Guest Emma Collins joins me in this purely chaotic episode of people getting kicked in the shins and off buses, and  expensive drunken mistakes. Emma's roommate pops on at the end to tell an impromptu near-death experience that has her laughing but us speechless. Again, just pure chaos.

On this week's travel story,  friend and guest Megan Ailand and I go over that one strange time we had while driving on the foggy coast of Big Sur, California. What is something in your life you would sacrifice everything for? What if music was taken away from you? 

In this week’s episode, we landed in our second country, Libya and we cover the brave and recent music revolution against Mu'ammar Al-Qadhdhāfī's reign. I do not want politics to be a theme in this podcast, because I believe there is so much more to a country and its' people than its political leaders. With that said we are here for incredible stories and we should cover and learn about these brave musicians and freedom fighters who risked everything for music and their country.

In this episode, we revisit Belize and disclose any clues to questions we had in the first episode such as:  What does the world's largest sinkhole have to do with the Mayan civilizations' collapse in Belize? As well as go over adventures you can do while in Belize involving pirates' treasure and river tubing among jaguars.

We end on a story of an ex-treasure hunter named Tommy Thompson and how he found the world's largest loot from the 1850's shipwreck of the SS South Carolina leading to him rotting in prison indefinitely.
