Chris Cuomo takes on the Ohio "house of horrors" case from both sides — first with Tom Salisbury, a lead investigator on the infamous Turpin case, who explains why the Siders case involving 16 children could be even worse, and then by confronting Tommy Staley, the attorney for the mother, Elizabeth Siders. Staley argues the case is a gross mischaracterization — no chains, no restraints, extreme poverty rather than cruelty — and disputes that the kids were feral, nonverbal, or near death, while Cuomo presses him on the malnourishment, the missing medical and school records, and the attorney general's "livestock kept in better conditions" remark. It's a tense, fact-first clash between what investigators describe and what the defense claims, with the mother not yet indicted and both sides agreeing the truth won't be known until the evidence comes out.
