We are chuffed to see the Bunnyman! Will just got off tour; it was 11 out of 10- weird!

People still like our band's music all these years later. Ancient history. It's just weird? Bugger all else to do so we plundered a lot of different music. Whats a wooly back? A sheep in wolf's clothing. Paul Rutherford in radical Pajamas. Band names had to be short to write on yer gasbag. Until Punk, music life was unobtainable, Punk said you don't need any of that. Will's book is a social history. It's Brilliant: Kirby = Crawley. Will explains the "Cure "photo in his book. Wills brother thought the Cure were the Bunnymen! We had identical suits, perhaps? MVCU, where Budgie was happy to spray the door. Boris makes a surprise appearance on the show! One night of madness in Crawley, like being in the trenches.

Will saw the Cure, Passions, and Associates in Liverpool Erics. All bands played Erics despite the beer swamp and low ceiling. It was a big deal when Budgie left Liverpool. Budgies gone, what are we going to do? Grist for the mill works.

The three survivors. There are plenty of casualties out there; Budgie, Lol, and Will discover that they have a Psychic commonality.

The Cure’s first album, Three Imaginary Boys, released in 1979, was made into a compilation called Boys Don’t Cry for the American market in 1980.

Welcome to a slightly different format of Curious Creatures, in which Lol and Budgie discuss a specific topic in more detail.

In this first episode, Lol talks about Boys Don’t Cry and Cure manager Chris Parry’s penchant for not wearing socks, a naked drum sound, or playing the drums naked? Was it The Jam’s kit, or was it XTC’s?

Being Fearless and Full of Fear. Red light fever, two hands are faster than one!
The urgency of accuracy and the importance of serendipity in creativity.
And finally, for the secret of Fire in Cairo - Tune in on Tuesday!!

Which silver screen superstar honed his comedic chops behind bars while doing time for slinging cocaine? Which movie mogul's home in the Hollywood hills played host to one of the most heinous and notorious crimes of the 1970s? And how did ONE movie franchise supposedly curse FOUR different actors, leading them each to an early grave?

Hear the unbelievable but true stories behind these questions and more in BADLANDS Season 3: Hollywoodland.

BADLANDS is a true-crime anthology podcast from Jake Brennan, creator and host of the award-winning music and true crime podcast DISGRACELAND.

BADLANDS Season 3: Hollywoodland is all about the dirty deeds of Tinseltown A-listers whose crimes and career lows were as unbelievable as some of their films' plot twists. Beginning February 16th, listen each week for wild stories about Robert Downey Jr., Gianni Versace, Sal Mineo, Tim Allen, Heath Ledger, Jack Nicholson, Brittany Murphy, the Poltergeist Curse, Robert Mitchum, and Elizabeth Short a/k/a The Black Dahlia.

Follow BADLANDS on Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, Wondery+, or wherever you get your podcasts. BADLANDS Season 3: Hollywoodland premieres February 16th with new episodes available every Wednesday. Or, beginning February 16th, you can binge the whole season of 10 episodes on Amazon Music.

Lol and Budgie discuss[es] birthdays they have spent in the studio (Lol for 17 Seconds) or on the road having the bus party (Budgie). Everything closed in London at Christmas. We only got home just in time. Every day is Saturday in a band, even if it's Monday. Unless it's Boxing Day. We would be working every weekend. Hey, we signed up for it. We were the monks of music, leading a disciplined life, sort of! Budgie reveals a lovely Birthday gift he had made for Siouxsie and names the designer who made the beautiful blue shirt in his Wikipedia photo. But why was Lol wearing a pink dress?

In which lol and Budgie discover why Lol won't eat leftovers.

They leave home and make Lobby Scouse and omelets. Alice Cooper and pressure cookers. Wasps and Bangers, baked potatoes, baked beans, and tea!

It's necessary to have your own caterers on tour. Meeting other bands at a service station means-punk rock food fight! The Italians and Dutch have gourmet truck stops. Lol enjoys the flower bowls of Holland, while Budgie likes the comfortable, considerate seating in Tokyo eateries. The Greek restaurant in London was smashing. Literally!

Kate comes to LA. We learn the drummers are driving the ship. Holistically in control of everything! Like Lol, Kate got her DL in California. NYC is okay when you're young but it's hard. Kate started to work in TV. Never thought she would end up in LA. You have to be open and willing to take risks. LA is a small town masquerading as a big city where you can wear big boots and coats even when you don't need too. Beach Goths! Kate and Lol discuss the Thomas guide and getting around LA in 20 mins. Kate knows about the knowledge! She did the artists way (like us) fell in love with someone in LA  and ended up working with Ellen DeGeneres after an LA lunch! Even despite her NYC  parking anxiety. Now she produces talk shows. Budgie asks Kate to critique us. We are walking the fine line and flowing - phew! Thanks for holding our hands, you cheeky thing! Drums are our communication. Telling the story. Never plain vanilla, we had a different approach.
