Through years of hard work and learning from renowned trainers, Kim succeeded in reining, earning a circuit year-end award for Freestyle Reining.
Kim's expertise extends beyond competing, as she discovered her love for teaching. With a UKCC Level 2 Coaching Certificate in Western Riding, Kim has empowered beginners and advanced Western riders through lessons, clinics, and summer camps. Her ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner has made her highly recommended among her students.
Driven by her thirst for knowledge, Kim embarked on a global journey to expand her horsemanship skills. She explored various facets of equestrian life, including grooming at top competitions, working on film sets, and experiencing cattle and ranch work. Mentored by esteemed trainers such as Dan James, Cira Baeck, Niki Flundra, and Warwick Schiller, Kim honed her abilities and developed her own unique approach to horse training. Her mutual respect, communication, and trust foundation creates a nurturing environment for soft, responsive, and happy horses.
Now based in Devon, Kim continues to positively impact the equestrian community. With her small furry teaching assistant, Mavis, and her American Quarter Horse, Snoox, by her side, Kim offers her expertise to people and horses worldwide. She is also the host of "The Enlightened Equestrian Podcast," where she shares her insights and wisdom.
