After a successful career in education, Jim Anderson revisited a story he began penning in the late ’80’s that became his first novel, “Birdwatcher.”  The book follows Leon, an introverted man who has his safe and predictable little world shaken forever after a chance encounter in the Upper Peninsula wilderness.

Along with his partner George Cochran, Turner Booth purchased the former Cherryland Mobile Home Park on Garfield Avenue, transforming it into a new option for workforce/affordable housing, and, in turn, creating parent company Manitou Communities, with the purpose of purchasing, revamping and operating mobile home parks.
