In this episode of Wild Rivers Film Radio, host Robert Naugle welcomes Kat Liddell and Greg Bailey to discuss An Act of War / A Mission of Peace, a short documentary featured in Season Three of Jeremy Maupin’s Refresh Quest. The film revisits a remarkable and little-known chapter of World War II history that unfolded in Brookings, Oregon—and the extraordinary story of reconciliation that followed.
Robert talks with Greg about his behind-the-scenes experience serving as guide, cameraman, and production assistant, helping the filmmaking team bring this local history to life. Kat shares her role as curator and storyteller, preserving the history of the only enemy aircraft bombing of the continental United States during World War II and the lasting relationship between Brookings and Japanese pilot Nobuo Fujita. Together, they explore how preserving local history through film can transform an act of war into a powerful story of friendship, forgiveness, and peace.

What separates people who become business owners from those who remain employees?
Entrepreneur Reed Nyffeler shares how to think like an owner, develop leaders, overcome fear, and create exceptional value.
Why do talented, capable people stay stuck when they could be building something of their own? Reed has spent nearly two decades developing leaders and helping people make the transition from employee to business owner. He shares why fear keeps people from making the leap, how purpose creates direction, and why one simple change from “Why me?” to “Why not me?” can completely change how you approach opportunity.
You’ll also discover why Reed stopped giving people answers and started asking questions, how a lesson from his one-year-old daughter changed his leadership, and why developing other leaders is essential if you want your organization to grow beyond you. And as artificial intelligence transforms the workplace, Reed offers another definition of AI: Authentic Interaction. His message is simple: use technology to create more time for human connection – then find what you can do exceptionally well.
