  • 10# The psychological cost of never saying NO
When was the last time you said “no” to someone you knew? I bet you really have to think about that. I know I did. In the past week, I’ve said “no” to exactly two people–that’s out of all the requests from my friends, family, business partner, agent, editors, and clients. On the other hand, this week I’ve said “yes” over 50 times to those same people. “Yes” to work requests, “yes” to social invites, “yes” to requests for help from family and friends. I say “yes” to everything because I don’t want to come across as mean, lazy, boring, or uncaring, but it’s exhausting. It leaves me very little time to relax or accomplish personal goals that are important to me. • 2# why you should challenge yourself?
“ If something that you’re doing doesn’t challenge you, then it doesn’t change you” Of course, since every one of us has room for improvement, this can also mean if you don’t change yourself, then you can’t be responsible for changing your situation in life. You can never see any improvement in your life if you stick to your comfort zone. We all need a healthy dose of normal stress in our lives, after all. We can only see what we’re really capable of if we make the effort to go over our pre-conceived limits. Don’t limit the challenges you encounter in life – challenge the limits that your “lizard brain” crafted instead.

  • 1# Why do people lie?
Seriously, why do people lie? Avoiding punishment is the most frequent reason people tell serious lies, regardless of their age, whether it be to avoid the speeding ticket or being grounded. In serious lies there is a threat of significant damage if the lie is discovered: loss of freedom, money, job, relationship, reputation, or even life itself.
