  • Cutscene 35 – Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress 1-4

    NEW YEAR, NEW ANIME! This time we're watching Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.

    A mysterious virus appears during the industrial revolution that transforms infected humans into Kabane ("corpses") and rapidly spreads. Kabane are aggressive, undead creatures that cannot be defeated unless the glowing heart, which is protected by a layer of iron, is pierced, or an important body part is completely severed (such as the head). Unfortunately, most melee weapons and the steam-pressure guns used by the bushi ("warriors") are not very effective against them. On this episode we meet a Gundam pilot's annoying friend, a loli slaughters the dead, we discover the mother of the year, discover Kababeri have no throats.

  • Cutscene 34 – Terror in Resonance 9-11

    In an alternate version of the present, Tokyo has been decimated by a shocking terrorist attack, and the only hint to the identity of the culprit is a bizarre video uploaded to the internet. The police, baffled by this cryptic clue, are powerless to stop the paranoia spreading across the population. In this episode… Lisa should be be blown up, 5 switches allegiances, and the crazy bastards actually set off the nuke.

    Our next anime will be Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, which you can find on Crunchyroll and VRV. At a time when the industrial revolution was carrying the world into the modern age, a horde of undead monsters suddenly appeared. They could not be killed unless their hearts, which were protected by a layer of iron, were pierced. These undead, which would later be known as "Kabane," exploded in population until they finally overran the world. The people of Hinomoto, built fortresses known as "stations" that have allowed them to survive the threat of the Kabane. Ikoma is a young steamsmith living at Aragane Station, working on developing a unique anti-Kabane weapon called a "piercing gun".

    In an alternate version of the present, Tokyo has been decimated by a shocking terrorist attack, and the only hint to the identity of the culprit is a bizarre video uploaded to the internet. The police, baffled by this cryptic clue, are powerless to stop the paranoia spreading across the population. In this episode… the boys bomb a subway, the FBI takes control, Lisa ruins things, and Lisa ruins things again.

The police, baffled by this cryptic clue, are powerless to stop the paranoia spreading across the population. In this episode... a protag goes swimming, war is declared against the police, something about dragons, and the police get hacked.

  • Cutscene 31 – Misuboshi Colors 9-12

    In a small corner of Tokyo, three elementary girls protect their town. Doing good and enforcing rule against the various dangers that befall it. These three girls are the Colors, fearless guardians of Ueno Park!…Or so they say. In reality, meek Yui Akamatsu, ever exuberant Sat-Chan and enigmatic Kotoha are three friends who spend their days having fun around town. Whether going to the lake, visiting a zoo, chatting with their Cool Old Guy friend or making life Hell for the surly local cop.

    In this episode: the kids actually pay pops for something, we get about 10 minutes of snow, the gang commits a brutal assault, and we see every damned character come back for a refresher.
