Stitched Up Heart began in 2010 in LA and since has become a force in the female-fronted metal band world. When their second album was released right at the start of a global pandemic it seemed like the wind may have been taken out of their sails without the ability to bring their brand of heavy music to the masses on stages worldwide. Now they are ready to right the ship as their 3rd album To The Wolves is almost ready for release and our taste so far is, shall we say, aggressive. Mixi is back on the Cutting Edge Countdown and Cutter's Rockcast and not only to we get into about music and touring, Mixi opens up about her vocal chord surgery and her passion of doing some animal rescue.

Matt is one of the singers and is the visionary behind the band From Ashes to New. While he's no stranger to being on this podcast, we're catching him at a moment in time where From Ashes to New are on the rise. Their new album Blackout is due out on July 28th, and after a hugely successful tour opening for Shinedown they are about to hit the road in support of Motionless in White and In This Moment.

Des Rocs as a guitarist and singer got his start as a 13-year-old playing afternoon gigs at the famous CBGB in New York and now as an adult, his vision has come together. He just signed a new record deal with Sumerian Records and announced his new album Dream Machine due out in August. Before that happened as an independent artist he made waves in the rock world with his retro guitar sound and even had stints opening for Muse and The Rolling Stones! I've been looking forward to talking to this guy for a long time.

Mike Mushok is the guitarist and founding member of the legendary Boston-based band Staind. Staind just put out their first new song in 12 years with "Lowest in Me." They have a new album called Confessions of the Fallen due out this fall. Plus they are hitting the road with fellow Boston rock band Godsmack all summer. Now on top of that Mike is also the guitarist for the band Saint Asonia who released a new EP earlier this year. Lots to catch up on with Mike Mushok.

Blake and his brother Zach Bedsaul formed the emotionally charged hard hitting rock band Saul in nowhere Iowa. Not many bands make it where they're from, but the music of Saul cannot be denied. Their next album This is It...The End of Everything is due out on July 28th. Their latest single "A Million Miles" is an absolute incredible song. Let's dig into it with Blake Bedsaul.

The band Ugly Kid Joe has not been on the road in America in 27 years. That's hard to believe for a band that reunited in 2012 and has continued to tour in Europe that entire time. With the release of the straight-ahead rock and roll album Rad Wings of Destiny that has changed. Ugly Kid Joe achieved chart-topping success in the early 90s with the songs "Everything About You" and "Cats in the Cradle." Ugly Kid Joe were cool with the rock fans, the punk kids, the skateboarders, and the metal fans yet they fizzled out by the end of the decade. Well, they're back! All it took was guitarist Dave Fortman to produce a Godsmack record whose drummer Shannon Larkin was the drummer for Ugly Kid Joe. Singer Whitfield Crane and Mr. Fortman explain all on this week's Cutter's Rockcast.

A few years ago Papa Roach decided to step out on their own, start a new record label and self-release their latest album Ego Trip. It worked! That album has now produced three number-one rock singles. They've been touring non-stop and are now set to hit the stage again with Shinedown on the next leg of their Revolutions Live tour. Jon Lundin along with his friend Andy formed the band Point North in 2017. Jon is also a sought after songwriter and record producer having worked with Falling in Reverse, Atreyu, Set it Off and many others. These guys have some of the greatest ears in music and now they have set their talents to a new Point North album and a song that they co-wrote with The Ghost Inside and Neil from A Day to Remember. The Patrick brothers, Adrian and Ryan, of the hard rock band Otherwise released their debut album over 10 years ago and it's been a journey. Now with the release of their 5th album Gawdzillionaire the "muzzle" has been taken off of Adrian and Ryan's riffs are hard-hitting and in your face.
