Jay Weinberg comes from a lineage of drummers. His dad Max was the drummer for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, plus he played drums for Conon O'Brien's various late-night talk shows. Now that's just the introduction. Jay has been in the rock scene blazing his own path for years. About 8 years ago that path brought him to Des Moines, IA to become the drummer in Slipknot. Could anything prepare him for that? Let's find out.

Nita Strauss has spent the past almost decade playing guitar for Alice Cooper, that's a great gig. Well, she also has one of the most anticipated rock albums of 2022 coming out later this year. It'll be her second solo album and this is the first to feature singers. Her first song out was with David Draiman of Disturbed called "Dead Inside" and it gave her her first number one rock song. The first time a solo female has done so in almost 30 years. Oh and she plays guitar for LA Rams home games, and has a fitness brand. She's an incredible human being who just so happens to be one of the most talented guitarists in the world.

The man at this point should need no introduction, but we shall anyway. Munky is one of the founding members and guitarist in the (can we say legendary?) band, Korn. His real name is James Shaffer and he like most of us had a tough time at the beginning of the pandemic. Like every good artist, he took those issues and turned them into art. Last year at the heart of the lockdowns himself and his bandmates self-funded a new album. With that it's time we once again catch up with Munky from Korn.

The band Plush are an all-female band from the east coast who are all teenagers but don't let their age fool you. These girls have the rock and roll gene and their music is as furious as any band's out there. They were handpicked by Amy Lee to open the Evanescence and Halestorm tour. Now they are out with Slash and they have their 2nd top 40 rock single. Oh and their lead singer Moriah Formica was a contestant on the voice and their drummer Brooke Colucci once went viral for playing drums along to Tool. Jelly Roll is someone you may know as that Nashville rapper who plays country music. Well it's not just that, there's so much more to the artist Jelly Roll and has now gotten into the rock world. Unlike another rapper who jumped into the rock world, Jelly Roll is very sincere about it. The man has soul in his voice and powerful words in every song he writes. We now get a taste of that as "Dead Man Walking" has become a top 10 rock single. This isn't just a one-off rock song though, he's here for the long haul. In this episode, Jelly Roll explains why and where this genere mashing came from.

Now that the Young Guns tour has kicked off with Mammoth WVH and Dirty Honey. Now after having Wolfgang on last week our old friend Marc Labelle lead singer of Dirty Honey joins us. The name Van Halen and rock and roll go hand in hand. Wolfgang is continuing to prove that. With the self-titled release, Mammoth WVH is a piece of just sold hard rock with great songwriting. Featuring number one singles with one of those songs being a dedication to his dad Eddie, Mammoth WVH has definitely gotten people's attention. Bad Omens are getting set to release their 3rd album 'Death of Peace of Mind' on February 25th. The music has grown and has been turned a little on its side since their first album in 2016. Lead singer and principal songwriter for Bad Omens Noah Sebastian joins us to talk about this music and why. Oh and why did he cut his long hair off?

Briton Bond and Cody Quistad of the metalcore band Wage War join us from their tour bus just before wrapping up their mostly sold out with Falling in Reverse. The story of Wage War follows the path of a band that has earned the respect of everyone in the scene and then rises up the ranks. Proving they aren't just pure brute and might Wage War have toyed with a more mainstream sound in the past, but now for whatever reason, their fourth album 'Manic' has put them over the top.

You know Mike Protich as the lead singer of Red Sun Rising. Right before the pandemic had hit Mike along with Pat and Dave from Red Sun decided to start over as a three-piece band and do things a bit differently. They called themselves The Violent and while they have five songs out digitally now, they are ready to unleash themselves onto the world.
