John Cooper is the singer and bassist for the band Skillet. If you're keeping track that's two weeks in a row with a singer/bassist. Anyway Skillet got their start in the Christian music circuit in the late 90s, but by the time they released their album 'Awake,' they were posed for mainstream rock success. They found it, and now here we are talking about their upcoming 8th studio album 'Dominion' due out on January 14, 2022. The new song "Surviving the Game" is out now.

Mastodon have officially released their highly anticipated new double album 'Hushed and Grim.' Yes, we said double album. An album that was largely influenced by the unfortunate passing of Mastodon's manager Nick John. As the single "Teardrinker" starts rising up the rock radio charts and the new album is now being ingested by Mastodon fans worldwide, it's time to go in-depth one of the most in-depth albums we've heard in a long time. Yes that Slash. He plays guitar in Guns N' Roses, he wears a top hat, and plays that iconic Gibson Les Paul guitar. Slash of course has seen a lot of music success in the past few years with his own band featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. Just announced his 4th album 'Four' will be released in February and with that of course is a new song. It's called "The River is Rising" and features not one but two Slash guitar solos, we'd expect nothing less. Always an absolute honor to have one of Guitar World's top 10 guitarists of all time back on The Rockcast.

Nathan Hunt is the lead singer of the band Shaman's Harvest. A band who put out their first music when it was still the 20th century, not the 21st. In other words, they've been at a long time. A few years ago they really struck gold and broke through with the song "In Chains" and their amazing cover of the song "Dirty Diana." Now with the release of their latest single "Voices" they're ready to be back. Maybe we can find out when there's more coming!

Kaytie is once back on Cutter's Rockcast as we have a quick conversation with the legendary Dean DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots. Their tour with Bush was canceled due to covid concerns from Bush, but STP goes on. Their fall tour kicks off in Oklahoma City on the 17th and rolls from there. On top of STP activity, during the pandemic Dean put together an album called Trip the Witch that includes a song with Jon Anderson of Yes. There is also a quick guitar lesson involved with this conversation. Oh and he gives a little love for my hometown of Green Bay.

As of today Friday, September 24th, Badflower's new album is out!!! It's called 'This is How the World Ends.' This is special though as this marks Badflower's 6th appearance on Cutter's Rockcast and for the first time since that now-infamous Corey Taylor episode, Kaytie is back! So as she says we are celebrating Badflower Day.

On Friday Dead Sara released their 3rd album 'Ain't It Tragic.' After breaking through in 2012 with the song "Weatherman" they've had their trials and tribulations, but there is no doubt that Dead Sara are back! Their new song "Hereos" has entered the mainstream rock charts and their song "Hands Up" which they put out late in 2020 was greatly received by fans worldwide. With a new home on Warner Brothers Records, it's safe to say Dead Sara are here to stay.

Sure the pandemic hit everyone hard, especially those within the entertainment industry. Can you imagine though putting out an album that spawns 3 major hit songs right at the beginning of shutdown and then never being able to promote it? That's what happened to Asking Alexandria. Instead of touring behind 'Like a House on Fire' they ended up writing more songs. In the process they switched labels and for the first time since their amazing 'Stand up and Scream' album all five guys went to the same place and wrote and recorded together. New album will be out in October and the heavy new single "Alone Again" is out now. Joining from his home where his kids are set up in their living room bounce house, it's the guitarist for Asking Alexandria, Ben Bruce.

The band DED burst onto the scene in 2016 with a heavy yet catchy debut album. Since they have toured and toured and toured some more. A few years later they switched gears and started working with famed producer Kevin Churko and the results so far have been fantastic.
