It's been a little bit since Kaytie and I have been able to do a host episode of the Rockcast. Like always our conversation has gone into unexpected territory. Like why is Kaytie trying to date during a world wide pandemic? Why I need a break from parenting? And, a discussion about some of our favorite underrated bands. Oh and as for the dating profile? Yeah let's get that sorted out.

To be honest I've been following In This Moment since the very beginning. They were a metal band and I at the time hosted a metal radio show. So when Maria Brink said she'd join me from quarantine for a quick conversation I of course jumped on it. We talk the new album 'Mother,' the visual and artist aspect of In This Moment and even how these new cover songs came about.

Finally abel to start having some music conversations again and I couldn't be happier to have my first one since lockdown be with Gavin Rossdale of Bush. Why? Cause it's Gavin Rossdale of Bush. New song is out called "Flowers on a Grave" and the new album 'Kingdom' will be out July 17th. We talk isolation concerts, and what might happen to real concerts this year. Of course we talk new and old music as well.

First of all nothing makes you miss your co-host more than talking to yourself for an hour, but it's a topic that I love digging into, rock music history. Take all the decades of popular recorded music and the 90's may be the most eclectic decade of them all. Louder Sound along with classicrock.com polled their readers to get the list of the top rock albums of the 90's. So I grabbed a drink turned on the mic and went through the list plus added in some of your suggestions via my Facebook page. It's a pretty amazing list of records to relive while we're all stuck at home waiting for this pandemic to be over. Be safe and enjoy an hour of me talking to myself.

Sometimes you just have to make things work. As soon as Ded released their new song "A Mannequin Idol" I knew I wanted to catch up with the band's singer Joe Cotela. Isolation/Quarantine has of course made these conversations a little more difficult. So I reached out and sent him some questions. Now for this episode of the Rockcast it's Joe interviewing himself. Sean Dowdell is the drummer and founding member of the band Grey Daze. A band that rose to popularity in the late 90's before disbanding in 1998. You care because that have re-recorded a bunch of songs for a new album called 'Amends' due out on June 26th. Oh and the lead singer of this band was Chester Bennington.

With the pandemic of the Covid-19 virus it's been difficult for Kaytie and I to get together and do the podcast. Hell it's difficult to even leave the house. As our state like so many others was about to go on lockdown I grabbed my mobile set up and snuck out to Kaytie's apartment. We made a drink and turned on the mics to catch up for a bit. It's funny that in the midst of all this the most talked about band on social media was going to be the early 2000's band Trapt. Their lead singer went off and said a bunch of not so nice things to say on Twitter, so yes that get's discussed here and the conversation is not for the faint of heart.

Windsor, Ontario, Canada's The Blue Stones stopped by the studio recently to introduce themselves and of course brought their acoustics with them. This two piece band came together back in 2011 and after having some minor success with the song "Black Holes (Solid Ground)" their latest single called "Shakin' Off the Rust" is about to become a top 10 rock song. It's time we meet Tarek and Justin of The Blue Stones.

"Antisocialist" is the name of the brand new Asking Alexandria song that was released on the day of this podcast. 'Like a House on Fire' is the name of their 6th studio album due out on May 15th. In honor let's talk to guitarist Ben Bruce about the new record, the evolution of the band, the new song, and why we don't care about internet haters, but we love the supporters.

By this point you should know that we like to just turn on the mics and see what happens. There's nothing better then doing that when there's a band in studio with us. The band Bones UK, Carmen, Rosie and Heavy joined Kaytie and I in studio ahead of a tour stop to talk and play some tunes, and that they did! Keep in mind this podcast is as it happened and completely unedited. You hear stuff that you didn't get to hear on air or see in the video.

Currently Bones UK are on the road with Korn and Breaking Benjamin, in March they go out with Royal Blood and they were recently nominated for a grammy! We find out how they got they start, what brought them to the states by way of London and we try to dig in and find out what makes this band tic.
