Episode #181

This episode discusses how we can limit what God can accomplish through us if we adopt a victim mentality. Ryan uses some familiar examples from the Bible to demonstrate how important it is to see everything through the right lens. You'll be challenged to evaluate how you see the circumstances you find yourself in today and you'll be motivated to seek God for guidance and to walk by faith. Don't waste what God wants to use for your good and for His glory.

This episode reviews 4 important lessons we can learn from Peter walking on water with Jesus in  Matthew 14:25-31. Peter wanted to take the risk and had great faith to walk on water because Jesus was with him. But when he took his eyes off Jesus and placed this on what was happening around him, he began to sink. Listen to this episode to learn how you can avoid making the same mistake.

Lesson 1. Peter had great faith
Lesson 2. Peter’s doubt came from his natural eyes
Lesson 3. Peter turned to Jesus when he started to sink
Lesson 4. Jesus helped Peter immediately

Matthew 14:25-31 - 25 And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”

28 And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 29 He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” 31 Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
