Matthew and Alec interview Josh Scigala, founder and CEO of Vaultoro, and co-founder of new stablecoin project "The Standard."

Really fascinating interview, we run the gamut on Bitcoin, gold, stablecoins, CBDCs, money, banking, and politics. Josh discusses some of the benefits of using Vaultoro versus other traditional fiat exchanges. As with anything, there are tradeoffs, but holding wealth in a rock solid, battle tested asset such as gold brings unique benefits. Josh gives a thorough overview on why systems like Vaultoro are much better for managing gold vaults than decentralized options that have come and gone over the years. It's a new stablecoin project their team is working on, and he goes really in depth on why algorithmic stablecoins have a brighter future than centralized fiat stablecoins (which rely on an interest spread from their investments), especially when so many fiat environments yield negative interest.
