In this episode, I will be talking about the sociology of education in America. This topic is important because many of us have gone through the public school system, and some people have gone through the college system. Can everyone say that they have succeeded or felt that they learned anything that applied to the real world? Or towards their current career that they have right now? Many former high school and college students feel the nudge of reality when having to make a decision on what they want to do, in terms of career or goal aspirations. Do school systems from elementary, middle, high, and college really prepare students for the real world? Are we teaching our children what they need to be successful or what our society says to be successful? As someone who had just recently graduated from a 4-year college, I have these questions and I know many people like me are wondering the same thing. I am going to give my opinions on the sociology of the public school system in America.
