In this conversation with Hall of Fame Coach Dr. Nikki Franke, we discuss her rapid ascent as a competitive fencer, including national, international, and Olympic accomplishments. The first Black woman to coach a NCAA fencing team, Dr. Franke has built the Temple program from inception to fifty years of success, and been awarded the USFCA Women's Fencing Coach of the year on four occasions. She also continues to build upon her legacy as a founding member of the Black Women In Sports Foundation.
