in this episode i tell you about a book that has really made me think. although i do not try to make you read it, i do tell you how it has changed my life. if i was not clear about that in the episode- it has made me question so many things, and reflect on my entire life.
(if you don't like books, poetry or life-questions: you should probably skip this episode, and i probably don't like you [jokes- only cool people listen to the podcast])
i talk about so many things in this episode. i do read a poem i wrote during lunch, and then i explain how my brain works. i am surprised about the people in my (honors) english class who didn't know what a rhyme scheme was in a poem. i talk about Shakespearean plays and sonnets. all n all, just the basic ramble podcast from me this week.
(if you don't like to hear a ten second story about blood and [what i thought was] a "dead body," skip the last minute or two of the episode)
a reminisce upon the last year. covid anniversary is approaching- what have i done, what have i left behind, and what does the future hold? i share the following: what i was doing on march 13 last year, stuff i have done in the last year, what is going on in my school district, a list of stupid things i did before covid, and a list of things i've lived to see as a 15 year old.
basically i tell you about one of my favorite poets, and read you a few of his fragments. i talk about one of my favorite books, and it does *spoiler* get a tad political. i would love to travel in time. i also share my theory about how i am edgar allan poe.
my mic was trippin but i don't feel like redoing this tonight so please ignore it.
here's the "first" episode. technically second. but this will be the first body paragraph of the essay- first episode was the hook i won't be getting points for because it was totally unnecessary and awful. learn more about me and how to be featured on the podcast!
what a first episode. i didn't even address why i am doing this, what it is, or who i am. maybe i'll do that in the next one- but first i have to get people to listen to this without all that boring sh1t about, "oh yeah i have opinions and i wanna get people to hear them" or, "oh yeah, uh i think i am an interesting person. so podcast." because even if i had said this, it wouldn't have been true. i mean how interesting can a person get- not very. i am just here and this is what i decided to do today at an early hour in the morning.
