  • The Big Crunch
With this track I wanted to create a "slow burn" to a big rock ending. There's almost twenty drum tracks involved, essential to getting that slow burn right I felt...and getting the big rock ending right, too!
    I hope you enjoy it!

  • Be You
Every now and then I create some weird experimental piece...and this is one of those pieces! It
I like to celebrate individuality and uniqueness, so "Be You" seemed the right title for this.
Backing track is made from Apple loops, but synths, bass and lead guitar are all played manually in Logic Pro X.

  • Reaper At The End Of Time - with Smitty
This is my version of my friend Smitty's truly excellent open collaboration track (formerly as Pagans Pentacles and a Dragon). You can find Smitty here - https://soundcloud.com/user-smitjam
In my version I added three different guitar tracks via Logic Pro X.

Telefan https://soundcloud.com/telefan also did a fantastic version here:

  • Dark Knight
Dark, brooding and intense electronic rock.
I did enjoy the Dark Knight trilogy of movies, so that's the inspiration for this track.

  • What About Me?
I started messing with some dark synth arpeggiators in Logic Pro X and added some drums and lead synths. The title just popped into my head...no idea why!
It sounded dark and quirky - job done!

  • Star Explorer
I wanted to capture a fresh and exciting 70s sci-fi feel with this retro synthesiser track. All synths played by me in Logic Pro X.
    I hope you like it.

  • Fractal
I was smitten by this image, and hoped the music I created would do it some justice.
Like the image, the music is simple yet complex. All instruments played by me in Logic Pro X.

  • In Prog We Trust
I've had that badge for decades, so I figured it was about time I created a track to honour the prog rock sound, featuring the badge.
It's a longer track, which is entirely appropriate for a prog rock track!

  • Exploring The Ice Caves
I have no association with the artist David Revoy, nor with the open movie 'Sintel' from The Blender Foundation. Revoy produced some concept art for the movie, and the image for this track is taken from one of those (it was labelled for re-use with modification).
But, I am a fan of both Revoy and The Blender Foundation. So I created my own original fan music based on the Sintel concept artwork.
All synths played manually in Logic Pro X. The music in the movie is much warmer than my music. Mine has an almost lost quality to it, I feel. Mine is definitely darker, too. I'm happy with how it turned out, and it matches what I imagine when I view Revoy's art.
    I hope you like it!
